Equipment manufacturing is one important industry of Nation's economy. It can reflect the nation's competition power in some way. The proportion of the cast iron used in making a machine is about 70 %. Our country is a large cast iron producer but not a developed cast iron producer. Some cast iron produced in our manufactories is not in high quality. In order to produce high quality cast iron and lessen the waster, much more money and excessive human resources have to be used in. One main reason causes about the above situation is that no really easy, quick and economical methods are used to test the cast iron molten metal. So studying the effective testing methods is very important.To overcome the difficult problem mention above, we carry out some theory study and experiment research in our project.1. New designs of quick testing the cast iron molten metal and new technology used in quality controlling have been presented. Experiment data beyond count which reflect the relationship between the cast iron quality parameters and some factors such as the cooling curve have been collected. Experts' knowledge reflecting the relationship between the cast iron quality parameters and some factors has also achieved. And the scientific model has been established based on the researching work mention above.2."On-line cast iron molten parameters intelligence testing system" has been developed. This system can be used to test 23 kinds of cast iron molten metal belonging four major classifications. It can give some pieces of guiding advice in adjusting production process so as to enhance the cast iron quality and reduce the waster.3. Temperature collection apparatus was designed and produced by our researching group. Experts' knowledge was used to keep the lightness in temperature collection process.4.Series of measures such as low power embedded CPU, electronic disks, and None-fan designing were adapted to ensure the realization of the system function.This system is an innovation in the cast iron molten metal testing field. It is more efficient than other similar products and has showed very good market demand. It gains the first class prize of the science and technology in Anhui province, and is applied for the national prize of the science and technology...
