Criticism On The Author, Edition Of JIAO's Yi Lin

JIAO' s Yi Lin which was a creative work in Han Dynasty , has higher academic value today. But research on it is even more weaker. Relying on full and accurate documents and materials. The text mainly criticizes two problems about JIAO' s Yi Lin, author ownership and edition. I hope they can make some basical work for the new century JIAO' s Yi Lin study .The author right issue is factucally a battle between Jiao Yanshou and Cui Zhuan . At first ,we criticize birth and death days of YanShou Jiao. Then investigating Yuan Dynasty documents in which quoted JIAO' s Yi Lin materials related to YanShou Jiao, we can announce that JIAO' s Yi Lin today we see is written trully by Jiao YanShou. Then analysing Preface of JIAO' s Yi Lin , we can announce that the view that author was Cui Zhuan based on the false preface was hypothesis . In a word, we set up the method to combine through breaking on the basis of gathering around and sending all scholars to study burntly . It can criticize that the author of JIAO' s Yi Lin really is Jiao YanShou.Edition research is nearly blank before. We investigate JIAO' s Yi Lin edition record successive dynasties. Then we see relation of edition by today before Yuan Dynasty , comb the three systems of edition today— Yuan Dynasty Edition, Ming Dynasty Edition , Song Dynasty Edition .Probe into the characteristic of the main edition today finally. Through JIAO' s Yi Lin textual criticism of edition, we know that there are serious errors in today' s editions. This text offers some reference to researchers, namely the researcher should have stronger consciousness of editions, which can avoid deriving and happenning this result of the impractical conclusion with the inaccurate material . We can say edition research is foundation of JIAO' s Yi Lin study.
