Solid-state lasers are the main lasers resource with the great progress of laser technology, especially with the developed solid-state laser crystal growth technology. Solid-state RGB lasers become more and more important in display technology.In this paper, non-linear frequency transformation technology is analyzed, solid-state RGB lasers are made, the application of RGB lasers on laser TV are introduced.There are mainly five parts in this paper as the following.The development of RGB lasers, include gas lasers, semi-conductor lasers, solid-state lasers, dye lasers and fiber lasers, is analyzed. The main application of RGB lasers, such as light memory, light display, laser medical treatment and laser micro-process, is introduced. The development of LD pumped solid-state lasers and its advantage is introduced.The theory of non-linear frequency transformation technology, especially the SHG technology, is given. The characters and relative parameter of mainly used non-linear crystals are introduced in detail.The method of individually water cooling of the LD array and the laser crystal is giver after analyzing the thermal effect of high power LD pumped solid-state laser. 660nm, 532nm and 473nm inner cavity SHG Nd:YAG lasers are realized. The method of obtaining tunable RGB lasers with OPO technology is demonstrated.The application of RGB lasers on display technology is studied, and, the scanning project of laser TV with RGB lasers is designed.
