Without the constraint of hardware structure, software radio is becoming the best way to solve the problems of co-operation among different modes and develop more services. It is of magnitude commercial and military value and is regarded as a new great revolution to the structure of traditional radio communication system.Radio interception is an important means to get intelligence and interception receiver is a very attractive application area for software radio. In this thesis, we probe into the application area based on the research task of military radio interception receiver, the design and implementation of IF digital processing segment is studied systematically. We have some achievement as follows:Chapterl presents a survey of the history and development of the software radio, introduces briefly the background and significance of the research task.In chapter2, the architecture of software radio is discussed from the point of receiver, several technology solutions and their advantage & defect are analyzed. At last three receiver modes are introduced simply.Chapters expatiates on the design and implementation of IF digital processing segment, introduces in details the schemes of system hardware and system software separately.In chapter4, several signal demodulation approaches are designed based on practical system. A new nonlinear method to demodulate the WBFM Signal and a new method to demodulate 2FSK signal using discrete short time Fourier transform are presented.Chapters studies the automatic signal detection and modulation classification. A statistical method to detect the signal is presented and a method using statistical parameter to classify signal is studied and improved.The general work of this paper is summarized and the farther research direction is pointed out in the last chapter.
