The Issue Of National Sovereignty In The Context Of Economic Globalization Research

Economic decides politics. At the background of economic globalization, the political field is undergoing a profound change. In the many new changes in the political field that is caused by the economic globalization, the argument about national sovereignty is vulnerable to be touched and is a topic that causes differences opinions. The dissertation is divided by five components and explores the national sovereignty context under the economic globalization.At the first part the author interprets the two basic concepts that are economic globalization and national sovereignty. On the basis of analyzing and comparing the different perspectives of Chinese and foreign scholars about globalization, the author deems: the globalization of the economy is the primary; Globalization is not westernization; Globalization is a spiral process; Globalization is not convergence but development. Through inspecting the development of national sovereignty, the author deems: national sovereignty is a historical area , understand its basic contents should also have a historical perspective. Understanding the impact of globalization to national sovereignty, we should attention to the distinction between developed and developing countries.At the second part it addresses the relations of economic globalization and national sovereignty. By the analysis of relevant, the negative correlation in present academic , the author thinks that economic globalization and national sovereignty are mutual .A specific manifestation is that nation is an important pushing force to economic globalization, and economic globalization provides a good opportunity and potential for the development of national sovereignty.At the third part it analyses the factors affecting national sovereignty under the background of economic globalization. The analysis includes the international and domestic aspects .the international factors include international organizations, transnational corporations, non-governmental organizations, regional economic organizations, the development of new technologies, global issues, and so on.
