A Study On The Time-Space Art Of Legends In Tang Dynasty

With the discussing of time-space Art of Legends in Tang Dynasty as the crucial breakthrough, using related methods of narratology to analysis and discuss the text of the Tang legend meticulously, this papers try to explore its unique expression way and its artistic quality. We launches the discussion from three main aspects: in the first chapter , with the topic of time feature and aesthetic intent, we probed and discussed the understanding and expression way of time in the Tang legend in two aspects: From the time feature that the story content embodied and the time meaning that the narrative form of novels contained. And we get the conclusion that the expression of time in the Tang legend has a feature of relativity.In the second chapter, this papers mainly probed into the space features and aesthetic intent of the Tang legend. we discussed in details about the forms of spaces, the transformation forms of space and scenes, characteristics and significance of the relationship between time and space in the novel. And point out that the special feature of relationship between time and space in The Tang legend, which space play a leading and dominant role , Spaces can restrict time and even can change the nature of time.The theme of the third chapter is about the novel's narrative construction and it's time-space significance, mainly discussed three questions: firstly, from the perspective of dissemination,acceptance and the came about of narration, we think that the novel's narrator was completely (different from before, it not only has various ways of existence in the novels ,but also realize the relatively independent and diversification in the system of narrator's value. Therefore, it shows the creating significance of "intentional creation of fiction". Secondly, from the language level of the Tang legend , The novel not only show the rhythm changes of narrative discourse, but also brought progress of narration in three areas: unfolding the plot, depicting image and the description of surroundings. Thirdly, from the aspect of novel style, as to the so-called theory that" The synthesis of different literary genres ",we think that its essence is a special method of Storytelling, a complement and improvement to the deficiency of traditional Chinese novel narration.
