The Research Of GuiFu

Guifu is a renowned scholar during the period of Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty. His publications such as Shuowen Jiezi yizheng , Zhapu and Wanxueji are highly remarked by others scholars. Up to now, there are no complete and systematic research upon him and his works. From the political and academic view, there are so many subjects and scholars to be researched . The hot issues of the academic circles focus on the period from the early years of Qing Dynasty to the period of Kangxi or from the period of Daoguang to the later years of Qing Dynasty. The research of the middle of the Qing Dynasty is rather weak. It mostly focuses on the academic achievement during the period of Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty. Therefore, there are many researches on Daizhen, Huidong, Weng Fanggang and Sun Xingyan. The research of philology of the period of Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty focuses on Duan Yucai though Guifu was one of the four famous scholars who were good at researching the book of Shuowenjiezi.My dissertation aims at filling up the blankness of the field through systematically and entirely researching his family, life experience, friends, works . And also its aim is to get the effectiveness of knowing the political and academic environment when he lived.My dissertation mainly constituted by six parts. The first chapter is named "The extraction and all his life of Guifu, There are three important periods of the life of Guifu: the period of his early life in his hometown, the period of his middle life in the capital, the period of his later life in Yunnan.The second chapter is named " The friends of Guifu", According to his three different periods of life ,he had friends from different areas. They communicated with each other which are helpful for their research; we can also have a full understanding of the scholars, their academic achievement and the academic environment when they lived.The third chapter is named "the publications and works of Guifu", there are many publications and works of Guifu, we divide into five different parts: Exegesis and Character; Poem and Zaju; Collate and preface and postscript; ancient seal script and tablet inscription and the others including Mao's poems in category of classics and Confucian in category of Zi radical( Philosophy) .The fourth chapter is named "the philology of Guifu",it including six parts: the origin of Character; the treatise of six Character configuration; the develop of Character; the illumination of ShuoWen according to Guangyun and Yupian;the use of inscription and the research history of Shuowen.The fifth chapter is named"the calligraphy of Guifu". We discuss achievements of Guifu's calligraphy. We analysis the influence effectiveness of the philology and inscription which influence the calligraphy of Guifu.The sixth chapter is named "the Poem and Zaju of Guifu",it mainly expound the achievements of Guifu's Poem and Zaju. The characteristics of Guifu's Poem which is influenced by the academic environment when Guifu lived.In one word, the innovation of this dissertation is an follows:1,Asa renowned scholar during the period of Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, Guifu have succeed in Shuowen, calligraphy, the Poem and Zaju. The dissertation choose Guifu as research object , comprehensively research the life experience and the publications and works of Guifu, get the effectiveness of knowing the political and academic environment of scholars in the period of Qianlong and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty. The selected subject of the dissertation has innovativeness because there is no comprehensive research about Guifu before my research.2,The second chapter and the third chapter of the dissertation discourse the friends and the publications and works of Guifu. There are many uncommon document about the friends of Guifu, for example, the document of Wang Niansun who was good at linguistics, the document of Zhou Yongnian and Weng Fanggang. The third chapter of the dissertation list the publications and works of Guifu systematically, illustrate the library which has the publications and works of Guifu. Research about these is aim to research the academy of Guifu, and it is helpful to seek uncommon document.3,The chronological biography of Guifu has detailed document , and these document is to supplement the chronological biography of Guifu which is not enough before my dissertation.I try my best to narrate in the six chapters in order to give readers an exact and vivid image of Guifu .
