The Female'S Body Rhetorical Strategy In The Times Of Desire Writing

The existence of human is closely related to the body .It's important to the individuals, peoples and cultures .In the modern social theory, the body has entered all kinds of fields occupied a central position. Literature is closly related to the body ----especially to the woman's body .Firstly, in the literature, the female's body is often given multiple significance and symbol function . The female body should be entirely belong to their own in the point of Biological sense, however, as feminists have pointed out, the body is a powerful symbol form . The primary rules of the culture , the hierarchy and even metaphysical agreement are recorded and even strengthened in this surface. In the history of the Literary ,men createthe the female's body rhetoric.Male writers strongly emphasiz the rhetorical function of the female body, treat the female body as objects, materializ, meaning code the female body.As a tradition ,it still exists in contemporary male works. In the 1980s and 1990s, women began to awke up and liberate theselves, began to write the body, shape their body image, to express their feelings of the body. As the result, the female body was opened to the literature, and they intersected and supported each other.Thus the female body rhetoric was rebuilt .Secondly, the female body is associated with the desire . The 20th century is full of desire. At different periods of the history, there are different interpretations of desire .After the 1980s, in the literatura , the interpretation of desire is closely linked to the body - particularly the female body. As the object of desire and the principle part , The female body shows different character in different gender author's works .I firstly analysed the relationgship between the body,the femal and the desire in this paper. The body of the man and woman has different meaning. In evaluating the femal ,the Chinese and the foreign cultures all focus on the body. In the 1980s and 1990s, because of the enlightenment thought, the humanitarian thought , consumption thought and the body thought , the female body is consequentially become to be the main desire of the carriers and the principal part. Although the male writers and female writers has taken different rhetorical strategy in writing female body, the female body is no doubtly associated with the desire, whoever in the text of the male writers or female writers. The femal body has become a object to the male writer to release desire, a tool to the femal to write the desire.In the second part of the paper,I researched " The female body rhetorical strategy in the male writers's works." The male writers often treat the female body as a sex symbol. "Breast" is firstly appreciated and enjoyed by the male as the female sex symbol, The male hase a special interest in the femal's foot ,shoes and socks .The contemporary Male writers show their worship to the"little foot"just as their ancestor .The male scans and evaluates the femal with sexual eyesight to get sexual pleasure.But as to the sexual problem, the male undoubtedly takes a self-centered strategy: The all kinds of sexual forms all represent the male's value in China's contemporary male writers works.In the third part of the paper,I researched " The female body rhetorical strategy in the female writers's works." The female authors set free their body and life,break the traditional rhetoric of the various physical shackles by writing, following the body's logic,using the body as a weapon to against the traditional male's right. It shows as following: First of all, the sex which is closely related to the body has been fully expressied ;Secondly, women writers has dicussed the ideal body shape and concepts of the female;Thirdly, the femal remodeled their own body image; Finally, in 1990's "body Writing ", the female fully demonstrated their own desires by body.From above, the female's body has been treated as tools whether in the male writer's works or in the female writer's works----the male treats it as the sex tool, the women themselves treat it as the tool to resist the male. What king of attitude shoud we have when refering to the femal's body? This is a question worth of disscusing. I think, the femal's body shouldn't be related to the male's desire, nor should it be treated as atool to achieve some brilliant purpose . The body of gender consciousness should be desalted in literature.Let the body- in particular, The female body - just to be the body. And this is the author'S idea.
