During the forties of the 20th century , in the literary circles of China, "the Enlightment" and "the National salvation" became the main melodies of the era. Became Shanghai was an area "occupied by Japanese troops", and then there were emerged the historicalsituation----"ideology vacuum" , Zhang Ai-ling's novels were far fromthe contemporary ideology and only described the worldly daily life with the family as its basic unit. For a longtime, Zhang Ai-ling as forgotten in the literary history. However, since the 80s, many non-left-wing writers in the 40s have again entered into the research field of literary researchers after the influence of these strong factors such as political line and ideology which are put forward by thought circles of main land. It is this period that Zhang Ai-ling "resurfaced the history" .On the basis of Zhang Ai-ling' s female consciousness "per se" , this thesis will attempt to expound the historical role female boby plays in the patriarchal society with a view to proving the fact that liberation of female body certainly entails liberation of spirit ,namely , to deconstruct various rules and "myth" imposed by patriarchal culture upon female .The present thesis falls into three chapters .which will be detailed as follows:Chapter1:Female body in the vicissitudes of history This chapter will introduce the inhibition and docility imposed by patriarchal society upon female which makes female identify themselves as female sex , thus letting themselves docile. Though the developing achievements of modernism are to decorate female body, they can not change the subordinate status of female body , female can' t create unconsciously the concept of autonomous body due to the great influence of patriarchy for thousands of years ,in short , female body only exists as the object for male' s desire and then volunteers to live in the family room.
