A Study Of The Chinese Communist Party's Culture Thought (1978-2006)

This dissertation focuses on studying the CCP's culture thought, by systematically reviewing the forming and developing course of the socialistic culture thought with Chinese characteristic, by particularly studying the CCP's right opinions on the relation between the culture construction and the socialistic spiritual civilization construction, the national construction, and the CCP's self-construction, by analyzing how to fulfill a useful function on accelerating the socialistic spiritual civilization construction, enhancing the general national strength and the CCP's self-construction, by analyzing the CCP's revolutionary theoretical innovation on the source of ideas, the current reasons, the main contents and the important functions of the socialistic culture with Chinese characteristic.As a theoretical preparation, this dissertation particularly studies the meaning of the culture and the advanced culture at first. In Chapter 1, the author also narrates some new opinions, which deserves to be further studied.In Chapter 2, the author argues that the forming and developing course of the socialistic culture thought with Chinese characteristic could be divided into four stages. From the end of 1970s to the early of 1980s, the CCP rectified the incorrect socialistic culture thought. From the early of 1980s to the middle of 1980s, the second delegation leaders of the CCP mainly brought some systematically new culture construction ideas and methods up on the socialistic spiritual civilization construction. From the middle of 1980s to 2002, apart from finding many rules of culture construction, the third delegation leaders of the CCP discovered that the developing orientation of the Chinese advanced culture should be represented and led by the CCP. The new leaders of the CCP have held the scientifically developing opinion and the socialistic moral opinions since 2002, which also could be extremely beneficial to the socialistic harmonious culture construction.In Chapter 3, the author particularly studies the CCP's opinions on how to treat the relation between culture construction and the socialistic spiritual civilization construction as an important duty, by analyzing the source of ideas and the current reasons of the construction of socialistic spiritual civilization, by reviewing the forming and developing course of the socialistic spiritual civilization construction, by particularly analyzing the important matters, such as enforcing belief in socialism, actualizing the strategy of ruling in cardinal virtues, amplifying patriotism, nurturing reformatory innovative zeitgeist.Chapter 4 focuses on the CCP's opinions on how to enhance culture construction for increasing the general national strength since 1978. After deeply realizing the importance of natural science, philosophy and social sciences in increasing the general national strength, the CCP attaches great importance to philosophy and social sciences. In order to keep on strengthening the science and technology capabilities and the education capability, the CCP has put forward the strategy of making use of science, technology and education to strengthen our country, which we should pay more attention to innovation. In order to make good use of talent to strengthen our country, the CCP believes that it should be paid more attention to make full use of the human resource of our country. The CCP also believes that it should be paid more attention to develop the culture industry as the new location of culture action and the new method in increasing the national culture strength.In Chapter 5, the author mainly studies the importance of the advanced culture construction in China to the CCP's self-construction, by analyzing the reasons why the CCP put forward the opinions of keeping on leading the developing orientation of the Chinese advanced culture, by analyzing the meaning, the basic features and the developing orientation, by analyzing the importance of increasing the construction standard of the advanced mainstream culture in the way of consolidating the culture outpost and expanding the predominant advantages of the advanced culture.
