This thesis is composed of five parts. The Preface includes a survey about the distribution, using population of the "Jun (Military ) Dialects", and the introduction of the human features and languages in the surrounding area, as well as a brief introduction of the predecessors' achievements in the research of the "Jun Dialects". In Chapter One, by comparing the Jun Dialects with Mandarin and the dialects of the adjacent area such as Yue, Min and Kejia, a description of the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar of the Jun Dialects in Guangdong, Hainan and other areas is made, in which it shows that the Jun Dialects, viewed from the synchronic angle, is a kind of dialects that has included some features of all the dialects mentioned above. In Chapter Two, on the one hand, the research of the history, human circumstances of the Jun Dialects area indicates that the way of obtaining the name, the formation and the development of the Jun Dialects are related to the "Wei Suo Zhi(a kind of military system)" of the Ming Dynasty. On the other hand, by comparing the phonology and vocabulary of the Jun Dialects with that of the "Zhongyuan(Central Plains) Phonology", it indicates that, from the diachronic angle, the Jun Dialects have closed relation with the Mandarin of the Ming Dynasty. Chapter Three includes the research of some linguistic theoretical subjects related to the Jun Dialects. Chapter Four is the conclusion: The Jun Dialects obtains their name because they are closely related to the army corps in the "Weisuo" of the Ming Dynasty. From nowadays' features, their linguistic characteristics are different, and they can not be sorted into one same dialect. But the Jun Dialects remains, more or less, some characteristics of "Tongyu (Common Language)" of the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, the research of the Jun Dialects will help to correctly construct the common language phonetics of Neo-Chinese, and it will be highly important to the formation and development of the dialect of the Speech Island and the research of the dialectology theory. The Thesis's purpose is to give people a more comprehensive understanding of the Jun Dialects, and a more unified understanding of their source and their relation with the Chinese Common Language of the Ming Dynasty, and this is just the new opinion and the creative achievement of the Thesis.
