| The "Wu Xing" doctrine is a very important content in the Chinese ancient civilization, which widely used in the history.Many researches have been done about the origin of the "Wu Xing" doctrine. In the 31sl year of Zhaogong, Zou Yan put forward the whole doctrine of the Restriction of "Wu Xing", which was called "Wu De Shi Zhong" regarding that the changes of dynasties must accord with the regulation of the Restriction of "Wu Xing".The origin of the Generation of "Wu Xing" was related with the changes of seasons. It was widely recorded in the works of ancient thinkers from pre-Qin times to the early years of the Han Dynasty that wood, fire, metal, water correspond to the seasons of spring, summer, autumn, winter and earth correspond to the late summer. This order accord with the order of the generation among the five elements in the later ages. It was Dong Zhongshu of the Western Han who firstly put forward the theory of "Generation " in his work "Chun Qiu Fan Lu".The above materials show that the real natural science and social science do not depend on the theories of "Wu Xing". "Huang Di Nei Jing" laid a foundation of the TCM "Wu Xing" doctrine,Being the earliest TCM classics, "Huang Di Nei Jing" laid a foundation of the basic principles of TCM.
