The Historical Research On The Bencao Literature Of Chinese Materia Medica' Standard

This papers have studied Bencao literature from the perspective of standard literature on Chinese Materia Medica. And it have proposed that Bencao literature has been born as a standard, and is gradually improving. The thesis also analyzed the general characteristics and values of Bencao literature. It may provide help to establish standards of Traditional Chinese Medicine today.Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing was first recorded in the Qi Lv in the Liang Dynasty. However, Tang Ye Jing Fa was first documented in the Han Shu Yi Wen Zhi in the Xi Han Dynasty. According to the law of knowledge generation and development, Bencao knowledge is prior than Prescription knowledge. However, from the literature and the recording point of view, as one of the Prescription Tang Ye Jing Fa was recorded in the Qi Lv of Xi Han Dynasty. It much earlier than the Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing. So, before the Xi Han Dynasty, the knowledge of Bencao stored in where? By studying Prescription and Bencao records of the Han Dynasty, found Bencao and Prescription of knowledge into a whole in quite a long time before the Han Dynasty. Liu Xiang, who, when sorting of Bie Lu, its all included in Prescription category.In Dong Han Dynasty, the dialectical treatment was used widely.And it had impeled the birth of Chinese Materia Medica's standard. Thus Bencao literature was independent of Prescription books and sui generis. Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing is the birth mark of Chinese Materia Medica' Standard. After collect a number of information, Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing had set up the system standard of Bencao knowledge for the first time. The system had combine medicine, natural history, geography, culture content. "San Ping ","Si Qi", "Wu Wei","Qi Qing" had became the thoughts and methods for Bencao standard. And it had summarized the 365 drugs, Bencao theory, effect, Quality Control.Since then, the continuous generation of Bencao literature is continuously enriched and developed on this basis. This paper focuses on the Ben Cao Jing Ji Zhu, Xin Xiu Ben Cao, Jing Shi Zheng Lei Bei Ji Ben Cao, Ben Cao Gang Mu, and overview of the development of Chinese Materia Medica' standard from categories, Bencao theory, effect, quality control.Bencao literature's distinctive feature is very uniform:government editing, content layer increasing, strict format. From the view of value, the Bencao literature has ensured traditional Chinese Materia Medica using safely and effective, control it quality, standardized terminology, and Bencao literature objective played a standard effect.In short, throughout the 2,000 years history of Bencao literature, it have established a frame of Chinese Materia Medica' standard, and contains elements of standard. We can study it from this new perspective. It may provide help to establish standards of Traditional Chinese Medicine today.
