Therefore, study on normal dosage of Chinese cut crude drug of clinical prescription has significant practical importance.ObjectivesTo investigate and analyze the actual dosage of Chinese cut crude drug in clinical prescription, approach the methods to formulate the dosage of Chinese cut crude drug, and institute the standard dosage of some drugs initially, furthermore, offer the consummate data for the supplement and revis of the standard dosage in Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China.Methods and ResultsThrough studied on literature, surveyed the clinical experts and investigated prescriptions, etc, detailed analysis the dosage range of Chinese cut crude drug frequently used in practice, then determine the dosage in-service use, and propose the normal dosage.1 Literature study on dosage of Chinese rude drugReferred to ancient medical records and prescription books, analyzed the factors to the dosage of Chinese medicme briefly, and combed the systems of weights and measures in different historical periods of China. According to the prescription books, we had make the corresponding statistical analysis of the dosage in different dynasty, and draw off the example of literature study on dosage of Chinese rude drug.2 Analyzed questionnaire of clinical expertsThrough designed the questionnaire related to the dosage of drugs, we investigated the practitioners of Chinese medicine in different provincial hospitals, and found the problem existed in dosage of drugs from the results.We had collected 1704 questionnaires, primarily come from the high-grade professor in internal medicine. 56．7 percent of them think the dose of drugs in pharmacopoeia is little, and 78．4 percent presume that the dosage rang of some traditional Chinese medicine should be revised. Part of drugs' dose in pharmacopoeia are accord with the actuality, and some are not.3 Research on dosage of clinical prescriptionInvestigated broth prescriptions of 21 various three-grade A hospitals in 18 provinces, constructed the database, selected the 434603 prescriptions which met a criterion, including 269882 in internal medicine, 84759 in surgery, 41226 in gynecology, 38736 in pediatrics, and imported them to the database. We made use of the methods of KDD and added up the use frequency of 300 drugs. It is demonstrated by the results of 30 drugs that the dosage centralized in 3g, 5g, 6g, 9g, 10g, 12g, 15g, 20g, 30g, which percentage had exceeded 80 and the dose of 10g was the most, occupied above 1/3．Compared with pharmacopoeia, all the practical doses in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology had large, and each percentage accorded to the pharmacopoeia is 25, 30, 50．The coincidence ratio in pediatrics had little high, but only 7 drugs' coincidence ratios had exceeded 50 percentage.4 Initial study on standard dosage of Chinese cut crude drugIn term of the practical dosage, integrated with the literature study and the results of questionnaire, proposed the methods and the qualification. Making use of the methods and taking Coptidis rhizome for example, we formulated the standard dosage of 30 drugs, including Coastal glehnia root, Chinese clematis root, Eucommia bark, Cyathulae, Epimedium, Hogfennel root, Achyranthis, Corydalis, Raphani, Thunberg fritillary Bulb, Alisma rhizome, Indian trumpet flower seed, Tansymustard seed, Acanthopanacis, Areca peel, Doubleteeth pubescent angelica root, Angle worm, Atractylodes, Chrysanthemi flos, Acori graminei, Baical skullcap root, Incised notopterygium rhizome, Angelica root, Peach seed, Curculiginis, Chuanxiong, Leech, Fructus, Common burreed tuber, Coptidis rhizome.ConclusionsIt is suggested that the dosage of part of Chinese cut crude drug is necessary to be revised. We formulated the standard doses of 30 drugs, including the follows: Coastal glehnia root, Chinese clematis root, Eucommia bark, Cyathulae, Epimedium, Hogfennel root, Achyranthis, Corydalis, Raphani, Thunberg fritillary Bulb, Alisma rhizome, Indian trumpet flower seed, Tansymustard seed, Acanthopanacis, Areca peel, Doubleteeth pubescent angelica root, Angle worm, Atractylodes, Chrysanthemi flos, Acori graminei, Baical skullcap root, Incised notopterygium rhizome, Angelica root, Peach seed, Curculiginis, Chuanxiong, Leech, Fructus, Common burreed tuber, Coptidis rhizome. And making multi-analysis for the dosage situation of clinical prescriptions, we identified the dose range of 300 drugs.
