Harmony is one of the most important category of Chinese philosophy.lt is the ideal state that symbolizes the harmony of universe and human being.This thesis selects HuangdiNeijing and most of the Pre-Qin texts that have been well preserved and spreaded, categorizes the discussions related to harmony. Then first, analyzing the connotation of harmony in the Pre-Qin texts, solving the evolution of the meaning of harmony. Second, sorting out the meaning of HuangdiNeijing, analyzing the ideological characteristics of HuangdiNeijing's harmony.This thesis is composed of six sections:The first section is about the core concept of the TCM culture, harmony. The philosophical basises of TCM theory reflect the content of harmony.The second section is the study of concept harmony in Pre-Qin texts. First, tracing the original font of harmony in oracles, and sorting out all the meaning of harmony. Then analyzing the discussions on harmony in Pre-Qin texts such as Zhouyi, Shangshu, Liji etc, summarizing connotations of them.The third section is the analysis of philosophical connotation of harmony. First, based on the study of Pre-Qin texts, describing the diversification of harmony from Harmonic taste and music to the Philosophical concept harmony that Confrontation with same, and expounded by many academic schools. Second, analyzing the most important Philosophical categories associated with harmony.The forth section is the study on HuangdiNeijing's category of harmony. Sorting out all the sentences that contains harmony and their important notes, and elaborating the meaning of harmony in HuangdiNeijing and the reflection in different aspects.The fifth section is the comparative study on the different thinking ways between TCM and western medicine. Discussing their different characteristics, and try to find out the essential reason of the dirrerences.The sixth section summarizes the value and shortage of harmony,and looks to the future development of it.
