Research On Methodology Of The Discipline Of Pharmacy Administration

Although it has been almost hundred years since the establishment of the Discipline of pharmacy administration, in our country the discipline is only more than twenty-year old, so the theory and the methods of the discipline are very few among the three key discipline elements, which is knowledge, theory and method, such as emphasizing Normativism overlooking Positivism, research subjects too broad, research design imperfect, theory that can be applied into the research lack, research method used improperly, data collecting and analyzing unscientific, etc. Along with the development of pharmaceutical economy in our country, the instruction effects of the research of discipline on the practice of pharmacy affairs are getting more and more distinct. The research needs the methodology guidance urgently.To examine the mechanism of knowledge and theoretical logic rules of the discipline and reasonable utilization of research method from the point of whole the discipline, this thesis adopted the transplantation method that is widely used by other science research, literature research method and comparative method, from the cut-in point that support the common procedure of the discipline research, researched on the philosophical foundation, theory construction, research design, data collection methods and data analyzing method of the discipline, tried to form a relatively integrity research methodology system. This thesis integrates the qualitative with quantitive methods as theoretical foundation research.On the base of clearly defining the meaning of research methodology of the discipline, this thesis reviewed the philosophical foundation beginning with philosophical viewpoint, put forward the deductive and reductive model to construct the theory of the discipline, explained the relationship between research and theory construction. Then it pointed out that the research of the discipline start from questions, and analyzed the origin of the topics, bring forward integrity research design procedure and methods. To carry out research, this thesis proceed with data collection and analysis methods, investigate how to use the literature method, survey method, experiment method and field study method and some problems should be noticed during the research, further studied the qualitative and quantitive methods, especially discussed and illustrated the comparative method, analogy method, SWOTs analysis method, statistical deduction, hypothesis test, regression analysis and dependence analysis method.Although many ideas, concepts, definitions and rules are not original, they are from the author's studying, integrating and amalgamating from abundance reading material. This thesis emphasize how to integrating theory and methods into a complete methodology system of the discipline, to improve the development of the discipline.Currently the existing research about the research methodology of the discipline is almost bland, the topic of this thesis is somewhat innovative and difficult, so the research conclusion need to be tested by practice, and new methods need research deeply in the future.
