Studies On Quality Character And Influencing Factors Of Authentic Xiling Zhimu

Zhimu is the dry rhizome of Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge. belongs to Liliaceae. It is an important clinical medicinal material embodied in Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Zhimu from Yi County Hebei Province is a tridational authentic material drug called Xiling Zhimu. Present quality assayment of zhimu is relative simple which can not thoroughly reveal its inner quality. And there is no study on the inner quality traits of authentic Xiling Zhimu.Factors contribute to its quality character formation are also unknown. So we carried out a seris research on corresponding aspects .A mulriple indexes synthetical evaluation assayment system was established based on studies about methods of content determination of main active compounds in Zhimu and analysis of a great deal of samples. The system includes six active constituents content determination of sarsasapogenin, Anemasaponin C, Anemasaponin Aâ…¢, neomangiferin, mangiferin and total polysaccharides belong to three kinds of compouds. The two saponins and neomangifer are new indexes used in zhimu assayment for the first time.HPLC-ELSD method of content determination of sarsasapongenin with internal standard was set up. This improve the veracity of assayment. Anemasaponin C and Anemasaponin Aâ…¢were isolated and identified from zhimu which respectively represents two main kinds of saponin in zhimu. HPLC-ELSD method of synchronous content determination of this two saponin was established. Mangiferin and neomangiferin were isolated and identified from zhimu. HPLC method of these two flavonoids synchronously assayment was set up.Polysacchrides content of zhimu samples from many places and Xiling zhimu from Yi County were assayed by Phenol-vitrol colorimetery. Study on fingerprinting of zhimu was carried for the first time.Samples were collected from most producing area of different climate zone all through North China. Comprehensive inner quality assayment of these samples were carried. Appearance characters of these samples were described and analysed by Hierarchical cluster analysis and PCA method.Variation patterns of both inner and appearent quality of zhimu from different producing area was discussed based on comprehensive assayment.After assayment of many samples of wide and cultured Xiling zhimu, a conclusion can be droven. These two kinds of zhimu have similar quality traits, they all belong to authentic Xiling zhimu.The contents of 6 active conponents of Xiling zhimu are higher than those sample from other places.
