Focusing on the important domain - the conceptual design of mechanical products, based on the study of Axiomatic Design (AD), the scheme generation technique and design evaluation of conceptual design are deeply researched in this dissertation by integrating the independent axiom and information axiom of AD, the theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) , the theory of fuzzy. Based on the study of theory and method of the information measure, the method of information measure and scheme generation of the mechanical product's processing technology document is studied. Applying the above-mentioned theory and method, the application for scheme generation and design scheme evaluation of project object is researched.Firstly, the dissertation discribes the whole process of the conceptual design by using AD based on the deep study and analysis of the basic theory of AD and correlative studies. The method of the sequence of functional decomposition is analyzed in detail.Secondly, based on the study of AD and TRIZ, the compositive model of AD and TRIZ is set up for the conceptual design of mechanical products. In the model, the rules of technology evolution of TRIZ are applied for directing the zigzagging mapping of AD. The coupled functions of AD are transformed into standard parameters of TRIZ. Then, the inventive methods for solving the coupled problems are obtained by finding the relevant contradiction matrix. The coupling problem in AD is decoupled. The integrated model can conquer the disadvantage of AD and TRIZ and strengthen the predominance of single theory by using the complementary of the both theory. The integrated model can conquer the weakness of using single theory when the model is used for the conceptual design of mechanical products. The application domain of the AD theory and of TRIZ theory is expanded.Thirdly, an evaluation method named Fuzzy Information Axiom Compositive Evaluation Model is presented in this thesis. The model imports fuzzy theory, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and gray relational analysis into the design scheme evaluation, which conquers the limitations of information axiom for evaluating the design schemes. The fuzzy theory is used to calculate the information of qualitative indicators which can not be calculated in AD. The weights of the indicators are defined by AHP. The distribution rule of the insufficient data can be obtained by using gray relational analysis. Then, the information of each scheme can be calculated by using information axiom. The best conceptual design scheme can be selected by comparing the information of all schemes. The model has great flexility, which can be used for a wider range of scheme evaluation.Fourthly, the measuring method of processing technology information is set up based on the study of theory and method for measuring the information of mechanical products. And then, composing the basic theory of information axiom, a method for choosing the best processing technology plan is presented. The information measure method for each component is set up including the potential compounding order of process, the process choose and the processing dimensions of the process in the processing technology document. Then the total information is obtained by summing the three subsection information. According the basic theory of information axiom, the best processing technology scheme is affirmed by integrating the information of all processing technology schemes. The integration of AD and information measure theory expands the application domain of the AD theory and offers a method for the evaluation of best processing technology plan.Finally, the above-mentioned study is applied for design the delivery tunnel steel model trolley of Three Gorges underground power station. Two schemes named the bottom slip model - sides lining and crown separate steel model trolley and the monolithic needle beam steel model trolley are designed by using the model of process of product conceptual design and the integrated model of AD and TRIZ, and the design process is described in detail. And, the better scheme for steel model trolley is chosen by using the mentioned Fuzzy Information Axiom Evaluation Model. So, the good effect of application is obtained.
