| This thesis is based on various disputes in the protection of cultural relic historic buildings in China, and analyzes the reason behind this phenomenon. Disunity of theoretical basis and ideological concepts leads to the difference in value estimation of the subject under protection and corresponding protection mode during implementation, which in turn results in the lack of seriousness, logic and authority in actual protection. But it takes a long time to perfect protection theory in China, and it requires the research on the optimization of practical protection procedure under the circumstance of immature protection theory, system and social background.The thesis consists of two parts. The first part summarizes problems existing in the protection of cultural relic historic buildings in China. And then, through analyzing the development and evolution of international protection theories and notions, the thesis sorts out the forming background of mainstream international protection theories and notions, major influencing views and reasons for the deduction of new schools of thought based on such incomplete views. On the basis of numerous and complicated theories, the thesis sums up universal protection notions and principles; furthermore, it finds a solution to special problems lying in the protection of cultural relic buildings in China, from the theory in Nara Document on Authenticity, which advocates "respect to cultural diversity" and emphasizes "authenticity established for value judgment and characteristics of heritage properties within the same cultural context". Then, the thesis looks back to the history of cultural relic protection and analyzes the characteristics and defects of current protection notions in China. At last, from the perspective of traditional cultural background for the construction of Chinese cultural relic historic buildings, the thesis generalizes the value characteristics of cultural relic historic buildings, and establishes protection values in accordance with the characteristics of Chinese architecture culture.Based on the theoretical analysis of the first part, especially the protection values of Chinese cultural relic historic buildings, the second part analyzes and summarizes key problems that influence the protection of cultural relic historic buildings at present, such as "inadequate attention to the environmental protection of cultural relic historic buildings, defect in cultural relic designation system, and disputes on the protection method for vulnerable materials"; and then puts forward deterministic standards for value judgments and operational procedures of cultural relic historic building protection in China. Furthermore, in accordance with the above-mentioned three key problems, the thesis analyzes technical approaches to those problems, and establishes corresponding regulation for technical directions so as to provide restraining guiding system for key problems existing in the protection of cultural relic historic buildings and provide technical support for improving the level of optimal management and dynamic management in actual protection. |
