The target of the study is to implement a PIDS for CEA.Main works include:Present a function model, a design model and a product assembly model for PIDS by means of UML, studied the model structures and model application in PIDS.Present approaches of product concept design based on Rough Set and Ant Colony Algorithm, as well as an approach for rule representing by Relational Database.Studied product design methods based on Reliability Theory, present a new concept -'Reliability of product concept design' and describe the way to do it.To analyze primary design of products, present a new algorithm to construct Fault Tree automatically and discussed an example applied the algorithm.Studied role plan approach based on Object-Oriented Petri Net (OOPN), present a way based on OOPN and proved the way by relay assembly planning.Studied parallel inference based on Fussy Object-Oriented Petri Net (FOOPN), present a reasoning algorithm based on FOOPN and applied it to a case.Studied parametric designing method based on features, give a parametric model fulfilled based on MDT.Designed parametric model database implemented on MDT.Demonstrate structures, relationship of sub-systems and technical keys for developing PIDS for CEA. Developed a Relay Intelligent Design System (RIDS) that can fulfill concept design, primary design, detailed design and optimal design, and also can analyze dynamic and static characteristics of relays. RIDS has a sub-system of parametric entity modeling and a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) sub-systems.
