Structural Interrelationship

An overall study of planning for"urban newly built district beyond the inner city"(ab."new district") and design for mega public facilities in China is made in this dissertation. The author analyzes systemically the form and order of a macroscopic structure of whole city , a middle structure of inner city , new district,and joint of the both .Despite in a comparatively small scale, block is also a composition of the structure . Moreover, the architectural form of public facilities related to structure is concerned in the dissertation as well. It includes the following parts:The introduction expounds the author's intention of writing the thesis and the research methods used in the process of study.The first chapter makes an inquiry into the concepts of urban new district. The origin of"new city"in western countries, appearance of it in China, differences between the varied meanings of this word and other terminologies are made clear. It also discusses the contents and feature of mega public facilities.From chapter 2 to chapter 5, the dissertation shows different structural form and order in the whole city, inner city , new district and joint of the both .It is divided into four parts : urban structure, structure of new district, of inner city and of joint.
