Chinese Traditional Landscape Design Theories: "Site Investigation" & "Scene Taken-in"

Chinese modern landscape design succeed and develop Chinese traditional landscape design. Its guiding ideology that emphasis the human and the nature harmonious contains still in the worldview. so it should be consistent with China's national conditions characteristics in its development. In the present. the study and development on theories about "site investigation"& "scene taken-in " of Chinese traditional garden design and its profound original thought will have a strong practical significance and feasibility.This paper argues that the Chinese scholars, who lived in different period in the history of Chinese for thousands of years, have been thought under the similar worldview. They dissolved their strong emotion into the garden design and the other kinds of arts under the Chinese worldview of the human and the nature harmonious. The theories and methods about "site investigation"& "scene taken-in could complement the limitations of the innate site through integrating hills, water, stones, woods, flowers, birds, etc according to the ideal organic together harmoniously, and extend the imagination to the unlimited. In the last, they could form a certain time-space perfect universe model in their idea.
