Nowadays, WebGIS is the dominating aspect and hotspot in the application GIS field. Because of the people's recognition on the time validity of information, using WebGIS to process the real-time spatial information can be titled as the focus problem in this field. Some commonly encountered issues in the processing were studied as a special topic in this essay.Processing real-time spatial information issues almost involved every field. To the conveniences of doing research, the process operation was abstracted as a universal business model in this paper, after gathering up the application logic in the correlative field. This made a basement for further study.Then, after discuss on the relationship between WebGIS and real-time information, a more concept: integrated real-time surveillance system, was put forward. To do this, a more widely imagine space can be given to the users, when time they using WebGIS in this scopes.Based on the abstracted model, the ArcIMS and MapXtreme were talked as instances to discuss the real-time spatial information operation problem using the WebGIS itself.Data structure is the foundation of the computer software, also is the basement of the converting the spatial object to be visible and analysis by the WebGIS. For the particularity of the real-time information, the basic WebGIS platform doesn't support the data structure of topology among the dynamic generated spatial object. This problem was partly solved and described through an example.Finally this paper emphasize studied the cluster technique of the web server, a currently advanced technology. Combining this technique with the map sever, the commonly Load balancing and Failover problem to the map server was addressed.Real-time information was usually stored in database, so how to import the database type data source into WebGIS is the crucial and difficult problem in the WebGIS development. And also it is one of this essay's emphases.In this essay, the realization instances, WebGIS framework and the setup and optimize technology on the web server were mainly described based on Java language. These years, Java and J2EE have expanded very quickly, and being used very widely in varies giant projects. Also caused by the WebGIS vendor relatively late output their Java product, there are many difficulties using these platforms. So it has more practical meaning on the study of WebGIS for Java.The abstracting the universal business model and special topic WebGIS research on it, and as well as the several emphasis mentioned above is the technique innovations of this essay.
