The eco-environment is in urgent need of construction in the yellow river delta because of the huge potential of economy and the fragility of eco-environment, depending on the scientific development view which is "overall planning the harmonious development between human beings and nature, and building up the overall, coordinating and sustainable development". The construction of the digital ecology system is studied in this paper on the purpose of data sharing and aid decision making. In the meantime, the construction of model of digital ecology and its application in the yellow river delta can be used for reference in other regions, which accelerate the development of the correlated subjects.The yellow river delta is taken as an example in this paper, which uses the spatio-temporal models of ecological evaluation and the ecological digital simulation as the theoretical basis. Basing on the 3S technology, this paper firstly sets up the model of digital ecology, and then uses it in the yellow river delta to accomplish the ecological evaluation and forewarning system and . promote the sustainable development. This thesis focuses on the construction of digital ecology and discusses this topic theoretically, technically and applicably.There are eight chapters in the article. The first chapter expounds the advances in correlative researches on digital ecology, and analyses the existent problems to put forward the significances and the thinking of the study. The general situation of the yellow river delta is illuminated in the second chapter. In the third chapter, the thoughts, models, algorithms and their improvement are elaborated. In the fourth chapter, the simulation is carried out in the land use of the yellow river delta based on the theory of geo-information tupu. The fifth chapter is the design and implementation of the model of digital ecology. The sixth chapter is the demonstration analysis and application of the model. The proposals of ecological sustainable development are discussed based on the ecological evaluation in the seventh chapter. The eighth chapter is the summarization of the whole paper.The main achievements of the research can be concluded as follows:(1) The basic theory framework is established based on the summarization of the existent research results and integration of the associated theories on the digital ecology. And based on this framework, the model system of digital ecology in the yellow river delta is established.(2) The spatio-temporal models of ecological evaluation and the ecological digital simulation are carried out. The ecological comprehensive evaluation is established by the integration of various evaluations such as ecological safety evaluation, ecological benefit evaluation, ecosystem health evaluation, ecological footprint evaluation, ecological landscape...
