The Study On Modern Science's Localization Practice In China

The issue of modernization of the Chinese science has been one of the focal topics in the academic field from 1980s. However, the systematic explanation about the issue on the indigenous orientation is seldom seen. In view of present study condition ,this thesis will 'come back inside Chinese society, advance new explanation to the gradual process course of Chinese modern science by the methods of sociology ,inside view and micro analysis.Firstly this thesis analyzed the present research achievement and view of research on the issue of modernization of the Chinese science and pointed out the problems and limitations in the past research process. At the same time it presented several important viewpoints which used the past research achievement for reference and absorbed the new theoretical achievement and methodology. It further demonstrated that the necessity and effectiveness of interdisciplinary theoretical methodology which is applied to the issue of indigenous orientation of modern science of China.Secondly the thesis discussed the introduction of western science in China, as a heterogeneous culture, resulted in the change of society and culture and introduced the basic attitude of Chinese intellectual elite circle to the foreign scientific culture from the perspective of culture study. It therefore explained that both the process of the introduction of western science to China and one of identification and acceptance is a complicated process to choose. However difficult the process is, a particular community which pushed forward the modernization of Chinese science was gradually cultivated and come into being in the interior of Chinese society. It's their conscious activity that determined the development direction of the later Chinese modern science.Thirdly the thesis studied and analyzed an elite thought which can embody a general social thinking more accurately and effectively and reflect the ideology and essence of the age furthest in history and its influence on the scientific China.
