Objective:To compare the clinical effects of electromyography biofeedback therapy and combination therapy(acupuncture combined with electromyography biofeedback)on shoulder hand syndrome after stroke,in order to verify the effect of acupuncture on limb function rehabilitation, and to provide a more ideal and effective treatment strategy for stroke patients with SHS.Reduce the risk and impact of stroke sequelae. Methods:A total of 60 stroke patients with SHS who were treated in the Rehabilitation Department of Ningxiang People’s Hospital from January 2022 to July 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group(n=30 cases, who received acupuncture combined with EMG biofeedback)treatment),control group(n=30 cases, the implementation of EMG biofeedback treatment).EMG biofeedback treatment was continued for 5 days, rest for 2 days, for 4 consecutive weeks;acupuncture treatment was continued for 4 weeks. The efficacy score, clinical efficacy, pain(VAS)and swelling degree, upper limb motor function(Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA)),quality of life(stroke-specific quality of life scale(SS-QOL)),and activities of daily living were compared between the two groups(Barthel index(BI)),related parameters of biofeedback therapy device(root mean square amplitude(RMS)value, integral electromyography(i EMG).SPSS 24.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data obtained from the study.Result:(1)Comparison of curative effect scores between the two groups:There was no statistical difference in the scores before treatment between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the symptom scores in the two groups decreased;and the symptom scores in the observation group(t=5.382)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).(2)The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared:the total clinical efficacy rate of the observation group(χ~2=5.192)was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)Comparison of pain and swelling degrees between the two groups:after treatment, the VAS and hand swelling degrees of the two groups were reduced;and the VAS(t=7.004)and hand swelling degrees(t=8.538)of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(t=8.538).P<0.05.(4)Comparison of upper limb motor function between the two groups:after treatment, the FMA upper limb function score of the two groups increased;and the FMA upper limb function score of the observation group(t=3.588)was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(5)The quality of life of the two groups of patients was compared:after treatment, the SS-QOL scores of the two groups were increased;and the SS-QOL scores of the observation group(t=3.221)were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).(6)The daily living ability of the two groups of patients was compared:after treatment, the BI index of the two groups increased;and the BI index of the observation group(t=4.965)was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(7)After treatment, the levels of RMS and i EMG in the two groups increased; The RMS level and i EMG level in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).(8)There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of bleeding, fever, blood pressure fluctuations, pain, and drowsiness between the two groups during the 4-week intervention period(P>0.05).Conclusion:Combined therapy(acupuncture combined with EMG biofeedback)has significant clinical effect in stroke patients with SHS,and can effectively relieve the patients with limited shoulder joint movement, wrist swelling and pain, metacarpophalangeal joint pain, fingernail color change and other related symptoms.;Reduce the pain and swelling of the affected hand, improve the motor function, quality of life and daily living ability of the patient’s upper limbs, and restore the exercise intensity of the biceps-related muscle groups, which is worthy of clinical promotion. |
