Clinical Observation Of Modified Siyin Decoction In The Treatment Of Children With Cough Variant Asthma Of Lung And Kidney Yin Deficiency Type

Objective: Through the clinical observation of modified Siyin decoction in the treatment of children with cough variant asthma of lung and kidney yin deficiency,the clinical efficacy and safety of Siyin decoction were preliminarily verified,to provide more theoretical ideas and clinical basis for the treatment of cough variant asthma.Methods: Sixty-two children with cough variant asthma with TCM syndrome of lung and kidney yin deficiency were randomly divided into the test group and the control group using the random number table method,with 31 cases in each group.The test group received modified Siyin decoction orally,while the control group was given montelukast sodium chewable tablets taken orally,and two groups of treatment courses were 4 weeks.The cough visual analogue scale,TCM syndrome score,exhaled nitric oxide level,Pulmonary function indexes,and LCQ score were compared between the two groups before and after treatmentResults:1.Cough visual analogue scores: At the end of treatment,the cough visual analogue scores decreased in both groups compared to the previous ones,with the test group having a better effect than the control group when compared between the two groups.2.Overall efficacy: The total effective rate of the test group was 93.1% and that of the control group was 72.4%.The overall efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).3.Comparison of TCM syndromes: Both the test group and the control group were able to relieve daytime and nighttime cough,and the test group was better than the control group in relieving daytime and nighttime cough.In terms of sputum symptoms,dry throat,heat in the heart of the hands and feet,flushed cheeks,night sweating and dry stools,both groups improved compared to before treatment,and the test group was better than the control group.In terms of emaciation,there was an improvement in the test group compared to the pre-treatment period,while there was no significant improvement in the control group compared to the pre-treatment period.4.Exhaled nitric oxide level: After treatment,the level of exhaled nitric oxide in both groups improved significantly compared to that before treatment,and the effect of the test group was better than that of the control group.5.Pulmonary function indexes: After treatment,FEF25 and FEF50 in both groups were improved compared with before,and the test group was better than the control group.6.LCQ Score: After treatment,the total score,physical,psychological and social area scores of the two groups all increased compared with before,and the effect of the test group was better than that of the control groupConclusion: Modified Siyin decoction has obvious clinical efficacy in treating cough variant asthma with lung and kidney yin deficiency syndrome,and has good efficacy in improving cough degree,lung and kidney yin deficiency syndrome,airway inflammation level,airway function,and quality of life.
