Objective:By investigating the efficacy and safety of Jin Shi Yi Qi Tang in treating patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Diarrhea(IBS-D)with evidence of liver-depression and spleen-deficiency,it provides a certain reference for the clinical treatment of IBS-D.Methods:Cases were selected between December 2020 and December 2022,68 patients were admitted to the TCM Spleen and Gastropathology Outpatient and Inpatient Hospital in Hohhot City. The patients were clearly diagnosed with IBS-D by Western medicine and dialectically diagnosed with liver depression and spleen deficiency by TCM.The 68 patients were divided into treatment groups and control groups according to a randomized table method. Both groups of patients were treated with Jinshi Yiqi Decoction and Bifidobacterium quadruplex biopsy(Sirian Kang)for 4 weeks after the end of treatment. Objective: To evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of two groups of patients with pre-and post-treatment TCM syndromes and total scores, severity score(IBS-SSS),quality of life score(IBS-QOL).The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and considered statistically significant at P <0.05.Result:1.A total of 68 cases were collected in this experiment.2 patients in the treatment group did not regularly take their medication as required during the experiment, and were counted as2 cases of shedding, resulting in the inclusion of 32 valid cases;1 patient in the control group took anti-diarrheal medication during the treatment period, and 2 other patients were lost, and were counted as 3 cases of shedding, resulting in the inclusion of 31 valid cases. The comparison of general information,IBS severity score(IBS-SSS)and IBS quality of life score(IBS-QOL)between the two groups before treatment was comparable(P > 0.05).2.TCM symptom score: In the intra-group comparison, there was a statistically significant difference(P < 0.05)in the total and individual Chinese medicine symptom scores between the two groups before and after treatment, indicating that both treatments were effective. In the comparison between the two groups after treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the improvement of the symptom "diarrhoea"(P>0.05),and the efficacy of the two treatments was comparable;while in the total score of the TCM symptoms, the main symptom "diarrhoea with abdominal pain, pain decreasing after diarrhoea, irritability" and all the secondary symptoms In terms of the total TCM symptom score, the main symptom "abdominal pain and diarrhoea, pain relieved after diarrhoea, irritability" and all the secondary symptoms "tiredness, dullness and fullness",the therapeutic effect was better in the treatment group(P<0.05).3.Efficacy of TCM symptoms: The effective rates of the two groups after treatment were90.6% for the treatment group and 71.0% for the control group. The test showed that the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05)in terms of the effective rate of Chinese medicine between the two groups, with the treatment group having better efficacy.4.IBS-SSS score: The difference between the two groups before and after treatment was considered to be statistically significant(P < 0.05),demonstrating that both treatments were efficient in reducing the severity of the condition. When comparing the groups after treatment, the differences were found to be statistically significant(P < 0.05),suggesting that the treatment group was more effective than the control group in terms of reducing the severity of the patient’s condition.5..IBS-QOL score: The intra-group comparison before and after treatment was statistically significant(p < 0.05),showing that both methods of treatment increased the quality of life of the patients. The difference between the two groups after treatment was also statistically significant(P < 0.05),showing that the treatment group was better than the control group in enhancing the quality of life of the patients. In the comparison of the efficiency rate, the efficiency rate of the treatment group was 93.75% and the efficiency rate of the control group was 67.74%,the difference was proved to be statistically significant(P <0.05),which means that the efficiency rate of the treatment group in enhancing the quality of life of the patients was better than that of the control group.6.Long term efficacy: After one month of treatment, the recurrence rate in the treatment group was 15.38%,compared with 52.94% in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).This indicates that the long-term treatment in the treatment group is better than that in the control group.7.Safety: Both groups of patients had no adverse reactions before and after treatment, and the safety test items had no abnormal changes. The vital signs were stable, indicating that both treatment schemes were safe and non-toxic.Conclusion:Both Jinshi Yiqi Decoction and Bifidobacterium Quadruple Viable Tablets can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with IBS-D(Liver Depression and Spleen Deficiency Syndrome),but they have more advantages in improving the main and all secondary syndromes of most traditional Chinese medicine syndromes, reducing the severity of the condition, and improving the quality of life of patients. Moreover, the treatment is safe and reliable, without adverse reactions, and has better long-term efficacy. They are effective prescriptions for the treatment of IBS-D(Liver Depression and Spleen Deficiency Syndrome)in clinical practice. |
