Objective: To verify the clinical efficacy of the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with hyperlipidaemia with the evidence of phlegm and stagnation by observing and analysing the clinical symptoms and objective indices of the patients, and to further evaluate the efficacy and safety of its action. Methods:The 72 patients in this study were recruited from Professor Nan Zheng’s workshop and the inpatient department of the Department of Endocrinology at the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine.Basic treatment: all were given lifestyle intervention and metformin hydrochloride tablets orally;treatment group: given abatement of thirst and lipid regulation soup,360ml/dose of juice obtained from water decoction,120ml/dose,20 minutes after three meals and taken warm;control group: given abatement of thirst and lipid reduction capsule,1.2g/dose,3 times/day.Observe and record the changes of clinical symptoms, signs and laboratory indexes(FBG,2h PBG,Hb A1 c,TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C)of TCM in both groups after 12 weeks(3courses)of treatment, and apply SPSS26.0 statistical software to analyze the relevant data and assess the efficacy.Results:1.A total of 63 cases were eventually completed in this study, including 32 cases in the treatment group and 31 cases in the control group. The gender, age and body mass index(BMI)of the two groups were analysed before treatment, and P > 0.05 suggested that they were comparable.2.Comparison of blood glucose levels: FBG,2h PG and Hb A1 c of the two groups were not significantly different before treatment(P>0.05);P<0.05 for comparison between the groups after treatment, suggesting that the treatment group had more advantages.3.Type 2 diabetes efficacy: the total effective rate of blood glucose reduction in the treatment group(90.63%)was better than that in the control group(80.65%),P<0.05.4.Comparison of lipid levels: There was no significant difference in TC,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C between the two groups compared with those before treatment(P>0.05);P<0.05 for comparison between groups after treatment, indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group.5.Efficacy of hyperlipidaemia: the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were divided into 87.50% and 74.19%,P<0.05.6.Total TCM evidence points: There was no significant difference in the comparison of the total TCM evidence points between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the treatment group had a certain advantage(P<0.01).7.Efficacy of TCM symptoms: The treatment group(93.75%)was better than the control group(80.65%)in terms of the total effective rate of TCM symptoms,P<0.05.8.Safety index: No significant discomfort or adverse drug symptoms were observed in the two groups during the 12-week treatment period. Conclusion: Compared with the Anti-thirsty Lipid Lowering Capsules, the comprehensive efficacy of Anti-thirsty Lipid Regulating Tang in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with hyperlipidemia(phlegm and stagnation evidence)is better, which is more conducive to improving the clinical symptoms and laboratory parameters of patients, and can better delay the development of the disease with very low toxic side effects.
