| Objective To observe the effect of Kaiyu Yunpi Decoction on fasting and 2h postprandial blood glucose,uric acid and early renal function in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with hyperuricemia due to stagnation of liver and phlegm.Methods Sixty elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with hyperuricemia due to stagnation of liver and phlegm were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 30 patients in each group.The control group was given basic treatment,while the treatment group was given basic treatment and Kaiyu Yunpi Decoction.Basic treatment includes diabetes education,exercise therapy,diet control,hypoglycemic drugs,uric acid lowering drugs allopurinol tablets.Before and after treatment,fasting and 2h postprandial blood glucose,uric acid,homocysteine,retinol binding protein,cystatin C and β 2 microglobulin were observedResults The levels of fasting,2h postprandial blood glucose,uric acid,homocysteine,retinol binding protein,cystatin C and β 2 microglobulin in the treatment group were significantly decreased before and after treatment,there was a significant difference(P<0.01).There was no statistical difference before and after treatment in the control group,but the fasting and 2h postprandial blood glucose levels had statistical difference(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the fasting and 2h postprandial blood glucose levels were significantly different(P<0.01).Conclusion Kaiyu Yunpi Decoction is effective in reducing fasting and 2h postprandial blood glucose,uric acid and early renal function levels in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with hyperuricemia due to stagnation of liver and phlegm. |
