Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of paraacupuncture combined with puncture and cupping in the treatment of blood stasis type sciatica, with a view to providing a new treatment method for clinical diagnosis and treatment of blood stasis type sciatica in the future. Methods:Referring to the diagnostic criteria specified in this study,60 patients with sciatica who met the criteria were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 30 people in each group. The observation group was treated with paraacupuncture combined with puncture and cupping, while the control group was treated with puncture and cupping combined with conventional acupuncture for a course of 15 days, including acupuncture once per day, needle retention for 30 minutes per time, and puncture and cupping once per 3 days, with cupping retention for 10 minutes per time. After treatment, observe the two groups of visual analogue scale(VAS),low back pain scale(JOA),and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score scale before and after treatment for efficacy evaluation, and use statistical software SPSS27.0 to comprehensively analyze the collected data.Results:1.The comparison of data on JOA scores after treatment(P<0.05)suggests that both treatment schemes have therapeutic effects on improving the symptoms and signs of patients with sciatica, and the observation group has better curative effects;2.The comparison of VAS scores after treatment(P<0.05)indicates that both treatment schemes have an effective effect on improving pain in patients with sciatica, and the observation group has a better effect;3.After treatment, the comparison of TCM syndrome analysis score data(P<0.05)suggests that both treatment schemes can effectively reduce the impact of sciatica on daily life of patients, and the observation group is superior to the control group.4.After treatment, the effective rate in the control group was 83.33%;The effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%(P<0.05),indicating that the difference was statistically significant, and the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with puncture and cupping on blood stasis type sciatica was more significant.Conclusion:1.Both paraacupuncture combined with collateral puncture and cupping and conventional acupuncture combined with collateral puncture and cupping have therapeutic effects on patients with blood stasis type sciatica. Both treatment methods have reduced the degree of pain in patients and significantly improved their impact on daily life.2.The therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with puncture and cupping on patients’ pain and comprehensive condition is more prominent than that of simple puncture and cupping combined with conventional acupuncture. Moreover, this acupuncture method has outstanding efficacy and safety, and is suitable for clinical promotion and use.
