Objective The purpose of this study is to Chineseize the Reflection on Clinical Practice Questionnaire for Nursing Students(RCPQ-NS)and to examine its reliability and validity.The Chinese version of the RCPQ-NS is used to investigate the current situation of reflection on clinical practice and to explore the relationship between reflection on clinical practice,burnout and professional identity of nursing students.Methods1.Sinicization and reliability and validity test of the questionnaire:Translation of the English version of the clinical practice Reflection Questionnaire based on Brislin model.From December 2021 to January 2022,550 nursing students were investigated by general data questionnaire,Chinese version of clinical practice reflection questionnaire and reflection function questionnaire to test their reliability and validity.SPSS25.0 and AMOS23.0 were used to process the survey data.Critical ratio method and item correlation coefficient were used to analyze the questionnaire items.Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to test the validity of the questionnaire,including structural validity,content validity,criterion association validity and convergence validity.The reliability analysis included Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient,Alpha broken half,and Alpha retest.2.Preliminary application of questionnaire: A cross-sectional survey was adopted to facilitate the selection of 466 intern nursing students from three third-class A hospitals in Liaoning Province from February to March 2022.General data questionnaire,Chinese version of nursing students clinical practice reflection questionnaire,college students learning burnout scale,nursing students professional identity scale were adopted to investigate them.SPSS25.0 was used for statistical descriptive analysis.Differences among data were analyzed by t-test or one-way analysis of variance.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between variables.The moderating effect of learning burnout on professional identity and clinical practice reflection was analyzed by hierarchical regression.Results1.Item analysis of the Chinese version of RCPQ-NS questionnaire showed that the correlation coefficient between a single item and the total score of the scale was 0.474~0.717(P<0.01),and the total score of Chinese RCPQ-NS was divided into high and low groups.Independent sample t test was used to analyze the scores of each item in the high and low groups,and the t values ranged from 10.213 to 16.743(P<0.01).There were 36 items in the questionnaire,6 common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 70.099%.The results of confirmatory factor analysis model were established.In the model fitting index,χ~2/df was 1.292,CFI was 0.977,GFI was 0.872,IGFI was 0.853,TLI was0.974,IFI was 0.977 and RMSEA was 0.033.The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the questionnaire population was 0.961,and the break half reliability was0.762 and the retest reliability was 0.934.The content validity of the questionnaire was 0.861 for S-CVI and 0.875~1.000 for I-CVI.The reflective function questionnaire(RFQ-8)was used to calculate the criterion correlation validity,and its correlation coefficient r was-0.562(P<0.01),reflective scores of clinical practice were negatively correlated with reflective function scores.2.The Chinese version of RCPQ-NS questionnaire was used to investigate the practice nursing students.The results showed that the average score of clinical practice reflection was(139.99±21.97),and the total score of professional ability was(39.95±8.99).Total mean score of self-management based on reflection(22.93±4.63).Total mean score of internal motivation sources(19.93±4.27).Total mean score of challenging clinical situations(19.01±3.95).Dynamic career development total average score(19.27±4.53);Dynamic organizational climate was(18.90±4.00).The average score of professional identity was(52.18±11.06).The average score of learning burnout of nursing students was(56.95±15.00).3.There are significant differences in some characteristics of clinical practice reflection of nursing students in general demographic data,specifically,there are statistical differences in education level,voluntary choice of nursing major,satisfaction degree of internship environment and liking degree of this major(P<0.05).4.Correlation analysis showed that clinical practice reflection score was moderately negatively correlated with learning burnout score(r=-0.439,P<0.01).There was a moderate positive correlation between clinical practice reflection score and professional identity score(r=0.585,P<0.01).The score of learning burnout was negatively correlated with the score of professional identity(r=-0.611,P<0.01).5.The results of hierarchical regression correlation analysis showed that occupational identity had a moderating effect on learning burnout and clinical practice reflection(F=45.204,β=0.162,P<0.05).Conclusions1.The Chinese version of RCPQ-NS questionnaire has good reliability and validity,which can be used to evaluate the reflective ability of Chinese nursing students in clinical practice.2.The reflective ability of clinical practice of nursing students in Liaoning Province is at a medium level.3.Internship nursing students from cities and towns,with high educational level and voluntary choice of nursing major,have a higher level of clinical practice reflection ability.4.Professional identity positively predicted clinical practice reflection,while learning burnout negatively predicted clinical practice reflection.5.Occupational identity plays a moderating role in learning burnout and clinical practice reflection. |
