A Study On The Behaviors And Effectiveness Of Organic Fertilizers Application By Laiyang Pear Growers

Laiyang City has been known as "pear town",has more than 400 years of pear cultivation history.The unique oil sand land of 19 villages in the basin of Wulong River in Caiyang City,Shandong Province is an important planting area of Laiyang pear,with a planting area of about62,000 mu and an output of about 126,000 tons.At present,Laiyang pear has more than 20 varieties,including the main representative varieties of Laiyang pear with Ci pear and autumn moon pear.The unique geographical environment of Laiyang has cultivated the high quality of Laiyang pear and created the century-old brand of Laiyang pear.2021 "Laiyang Ancient Pear Tree Group Cultivation System" was approved as an important agricultural cultural heritage of China.2023 Early in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the No.1 document of the Central Committee "About the Comprehensive Promotion of Rural Revitalization in 2023 The Opinions on Key Work" once again emphasized the need to accelerate the promotion and application of agricultural input reduction and efficiency technologies.However,due to the unreasonable application of organic fertilizers and so on,the quality of Laiyang pear varies,and the farmers’ income does not reach the expectation,even the Wulong River watershed is polluted because of unreasonable planting.Therefore,in order to respond to the government’s call to develop green agriculture and meet the market demand,Laiyang pear is facing the transformation and upgrading from traditional agriculture to green agriculture.Among them,the promotion of modern agricultural green production technology is an indispensable step to realize the green development and rapid transformation of agriculture.According to domestic and international literature research,it is known that: the factors affecting the adoption of green production technology by farmers mainly include farmers’ sense of technology acquisition,farmers’ resource endowment characteristics,peer effect,policy support,etc.;green production technology can not only improve production efficiency and increase farmers’ income,but also alleviate ecological pollution problems,etc.Although the research on the application of green production technology for field crops has achieved certain results in recent years,the comprehensive evaluation of the implementation effect of green production technology for perennial cash crops such as pears still needs to be further studied in order to better play its role.Therefore,based on the field survey of Laiyang pear production base,combined with the existing relevant research results,this paper discusses in detail the influence of organic fertiliser application on the green production behaviour of Laiyang pear growers and its effect,comparatively analyses the difference of green production behaviour between Laiyang pear growers with or without organic fertiliser application,explores the influencing factors of organic fertiliser application behaviour of Laiyang pear growers,and helps to improve the green production behaviour of farmers Through the empirical analysis,the impact of organic fertilizer on the productivity and income of Laiyang pear cultivation is studied,and its incentive effect on the green production behaviour of Laiyang pear cultivation households is explored,so as to provide scientific theoretical support for the green development of Laiyang pear industry,and thus better promote the green development of pear industry.Based on this,this paper takes Laiyang pear growers as the research object,and takes commercial organic fertilizer as an example,mainly to explore what are the main influencing factors of organic fertilizer application behaviour of Laiyang pear growers? How effective is the implementation of organic fertilizer in the process of Laiyang pear cultivation? How can we promote the active application of organic fertilizers by growers to achieve the green development of Laiyang pear industry?Finally,according to the screening results of the Logit model and the matching results of the PSM model,it can be seen that:(1)the gender,education level,cultivation area,cultivation years,pear income to total income ratio of Laiyang pear growers,whether they go out to work,knowledge of agricultural surface source pollution,knowledge of environmental protection policies,the degree of technical training,and soil fertility of Laiyang pear growers can all influence the application of organic fertilizer,among which the growers’ The degree of training in green production techniques has a significant positive impact on their organic fertilizer application behaviour.(2)Organic fertiliser application techniques significantly contributed to the improvement of fruit farmers’ production efficiency.Compared with the control group,the production technology efficiency,labour productivity and land productivity of the experimental group increased by 5.63%,35.42% and 21.99% respectively.(3)Organic fertiliser application technology can increase the profitability of growers to a certain extent.Compared with the control group,the output value per mu and net return per mu of the experimental group increased by 6.88% and 7.58% on average.According to the research results of the cost efficiency model,(1)among the cost inputs of Laiyang pear cultivation,the technical input inefficiency loss(about 80%)is the main cost input inefficiency loss compared with the optimal input cost;(2)the continuous application of organic fertilizer can obviously reduce the cost inefficiency loss of Laiyang pear cultivation and help the long-term cost saving and efficiency of Laiyang pear.Therefore,the government and other relevant departments can carry out comprehensive and scientific publicity and promotion of organic fertilizer application technology to farmers,enhance their awareness of scientific application of organic fertilizer,so as to improve the utilization rate of agricultural chemical inputs;formulate and improve the targeted subsidy policy,accelerate the comprehensive and effective application of organic fertilizer by farmers;the government should encourage farmers to join cooperatives and build the Laiyang pear industry big data centre to effectively promote their sustainable adoption of organic agriculture through the peer effect;strictly control the standardized production of Laiyang pear industry and accelerate the integration of the three industries.
