| Objective:CDC health emergency personnel as the main force of deal with public health emergencies,directly bear the public health emergency early warning,analysis,and emergency disposal work,their working condition is directly related to the health emergency treatment level and as a result,and the CDC health emergency work ability.Job satisfaction is an important factor affecting employees’ work enthusiasm.The evaluation of job satisfaction can be a good evaluation of employees’ work attitude and demands.This study investigated the current situation of job satisfaction of health emergency personnel in CDC in Jilin Province,explored the impact of demographic and sociological characteristics,work situation and work-family conflict on job satisfaction,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for improving the job satisfaction of health emergency personnel in CDC in Jilin Province.Methods:From May to June 2021,a questionnaire survey was carried out among the staff(both on and off the staff)engaged in health emergency response in 69 CDCs of different levels in Jilin Province,city(prefecture)and country(district).The questionnaire was established on the Platform of Wenjuanxing and data were collected.A total of 1314 people responded according to the principle of informed consent.The questionnaire adopts the self-compiled "Questionnaire on Job Satisfaction of Health Emergency Personnel of Jilin Provincial CDC".The content of the questionnaire consists of two parts.The first part is the basic information of the survey organization,which is answered by the head of the organization.The second part includes investigation of demographic social characteristics(gender,age,marital status,establishment,administrative position,major,professional title and educational level),work situation(working years,health emergency working years,average number of trainings received per year,and overtime in the past six months),personal subjective feeling(self-reported health status,self-reported job competence,self-reported past work pressure,self-rated health emergency workload and self-rated health emergency staffing),job satisfaction survey and work-family conflict survey.IBM SPSS 24.0 software was used for statistical analysis,and P< 0.05 was considered as statistically significant difference.Results:1.The overall job satisfaction score of health emergency personnel of Jilin Provincial CDC was 3.68±0.64,which was above the average level.Internal job satisfaction score was 3.79±0.61,external job satisfaction score was 3.53±0.75.2.The total average score of work-family conflict among health emergency personnel in Jilin Province CDC was 2.77±0.81,and the scores of work-interference-family(WIF)and family-interference-work(FIW)conflicts were3.09±0.88 and 2.45±0.91,respectively.In three dimensions,WIF scores were higher than FIW scores.The WIF dimension is ranked according to the average score:time-based conflict,pressure-based conflict,and behavior-based conflict;the FIW dimension is ranked behavior-based conflict,time-based conflict,and pressure-based conflict in order of average score.3.The differences of demographic sociology characteristics,including age,marital status,establishment status,administrative position,major,educational level,professional title and income in all dimensions of job satisfaction and overall job satisfaction were statistically significant(P<0.05).Working conditions,including working years,health emergency working years,and overtime work in the past six months,showed statistically significant differences in all dimensions of job satisfaction and overall job satisfaction(P<0.05).Personal subjective feelings,including self-assessment of health status,self-assessment of work pressure in the last six months,self-assessment of job competence,self-assessment of health emergency staffing,showed statistically significant differences in all dimensions of job satisfaction and overall job satisfaction(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in external job satisfaction(P<0.05),but no statistically significant differences in internal job satisfaction and overall job satisfaction(P>0.05).4.There was a negative correlation between the total mean score of work-family conflict and job satisfaction score(P<0.05).WIF and FIW were negatively correlated with internal job satisfaction and overall job satisfaction(P<0.05).WIF was negatively correlated with external job satisfaction(P<0.05),while FIW had no statistical difference in external job satisfaction(P>0.05).5.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the working years of health emergency workers,overtime work in nearly half a year,self-assessment of health status,self-assessment of job competency,self-assessment of health emergency staffing,FIW were the influencing factors of health emergency workers’ internal job satisfaction.Professional title,staff status,monthly income,working years of health emergency,overtime work in the last half year,self-assessment of health status,self-assessment of job competence,self-assessment of health emergency workload,self-assessment of health emergency staffing,WIF were the influencing factors of external job satisfaction of health emergency personnel.Working years of health emergency,overtime work in nearly half a year,self-assessment of health status,self-assessment of job competence and self-assessment of health emergency staffing were the influencing factors of overall job satisfaction of health emergency personnel.Conclusions:1.The job satisfaction of health emergency workers in Jilin Provincial CDC is above medium level,and there is still room for improvement.2.The degree of work-family conflict of health emergency personnel in Jilin Province CDC is at the medium level.Work-family conflict has a significant negative impact on job satisfaction.Therefore,it is suggested that organizations,families and individuals strengthen communication and understanding to reduce work-family conflict and improve job satisfaction.3.Staffing status,professional title,income,working years of health emergency response,overtime work in the last half year,self-assessment of health status,self-assessment of job competence,self-assessment of health emergency response workload,self-assessment of health emergency response staffing and work-family conflict were the influencing factors of job satisfaction of health emergency response personnel in Jilin Provincial CDC.4.Aiming at the problems of the number,structure,salary and working intensity of health emergency personnel in jilin Province CDC,relevant departments should strengthen the team construction,improve the salary promotion system and reasonable arrangement of work load,so as to improve the job satisfaction of health emergency personnel. |
