OBJECTIVE1.To investigate the current status of knowledge,attitudes and practice of narrative nursing among standardized training nurses,and to clarify their needs of narrative nursing training.2.To establish a scientific and feasible training course of narrative nursing for standardized training nurses,so as to expand the humanistic education content and methods of standardized training nurses,provide certain reference for the standardized training nurse’s narrative nursing training and promotion of narrative nursing education.METHODS1.Status survey:Convenient sampling was used to conduct surveys to 426 standardized training nurses,attempting to learn the standardized training nurses’knowledge,attitudes and behavior of narrative nursing.2.Semi-structured interviews:Purposive sampling was used to selected 10 standardized training nurses,in order to obtain standardized training nurses’ cognition degree on narrative nursing,their acceptance degree of narrative nursing training course,the content they hope to learn,and their suggestions on developing narrative nursing training course.3.Literature review:By searching the database worldwide,combined with narrative medicine,narrative nursing and pedagogy books,extracted the main points of curriculum content of standardized training nurses’ narrative nursing training course.4.Delphi technique:23 experts from 3 provinces and municipalities were selected to perform two-rounds Delphi inquiries to select and supplement the course content.The final training course was established according to expert advice.RESULTS1.Status survey:426 questionnaires were sent out,426 were recovered and 407 were valid.The score of standardized training nurses’ knowledge,attitude,behavior was 26.83±3.18,33.49±3.70 and 30.86±4.35 respectively.The score of standardized training nurses’ attitude and behavior was significantly different in different departments(P<0.05).The correlation analysis show that there were positive correlation between knowledge and attitude(r=0.281,P<0.05),knowledge and behavior(r=0.139,P<0.05),attitude and behavior(r=0.552,P<0.05).2.Semi-structured interviews:standardized training nurses have superficial cognition of narrative nursing,and their behaviors have not been externalized.Nursing workload,psychological pressure during the standardized training and patients’ low willingness were the influencing factors for the practice of the standardized training nurses’ narrative nursing.They have a high acceptance of narrative nursing training course.Interviewed nurses said,the content of narrative nursing teaching should focus on narrative nursing techniques,close reading and narrative writing skills.The teaching methods should adopt situational simulation,seminars,narrative nursing teaching rounds,and practical teaching.Teaching implementation requires good narrative nursing teachers,managers’ coordination,and a working atmosphere for narrative nursing.3.Delphi technique:21 experts completed two rounds of expert consultation.The positive coefficients of 2 rounds of expert consultation were 92%and 91.30%respectively.The authority coefficient were 0.85 and 0.84 respectively.The Kendall Coordination coefficients were 0.115、0.126(P<0.01).The final course consisted of 5 dimensions included training aim,content,methods,teachers and evaluation,along with 99 indicators.CONCLUSIONThe training course were constructed by status survey,semi-structured interviews,literature review and Delphi technique.The results of the study are scientific and reliable,full and comprehensive in content,which can provide certain reference for the standardized training nurses’ narrative nursing training and promotion of narrative nursing education.Due to the limited time,this training course is still in the stage of theoretical achievement,and further empirical research is still needed.
