As users' demand for data rate in wireless networks is increasing,the bandwidth required for communication transmission is also increasing.Communication with traditional bands can no longer meet people's needs.Terahertz communication has become a potential solution.Terahertz wireless personal area network uses the huge available bandwidth to provide ultra-high data rate(?10Gbps).By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of MAC protocols such as IEEE 802.15.3c,IEEE 802.11 ad,ENBLT-MAC and ACAP-MAC,considering the characteristics of terahertz signals,the existing beamforming training schemes are deeply studied,and two new MAC protocols,TRFD-MAC(Time-slot Reuse based Fast Directional MAC protocol for terahertz wireless personal access network)and HED-MAC(High Efficiency Directional MAC protocol),are proposed.1.To reduce the network delay and beamforming training cost,make the best of Beacon and S-CAP sub-period in the existing Terahertz Wireless Personal Access Network(T-WPAN)directional MAC protocols,A Time-slot Reuse based Fast Diretional(TRFD)MAC protocol for T-WPAN is proposed.TRFD-MAC mainly includes four mechanisms as follow: reverse listening offset retransmission.The mechanism reduces the collision probability of same sector nodes based on Received Signal Strength Indication(RSSI)and revese listening.whole network beamforming training.the whole network cooperative beamforming training is used to reduce beamforming training cost between nodes.opportunistic multiplexing directed Beacon subperiod and opportunistic multiplexing Regular S-CAP.The control frame(Beacon frame and time-slot reply frame)and data frame are transmitted in the same time-slot using time-slot reuse.The simulation results show that the TRFD-MAC has a significant improvement in the average network delay,beamforming training cost,MAC layer throughput,average data delay and the success rate of data frame compared with IEEE 802.15.3c,IEEE 802.11 ad and ENLBT-MAC.2.To reduce Redundant single node sector period allocation,beamforming training cost and beamforming training time in the existing Terahertz Wireless Personal Access Network directional MAC protocols,A High Efficiency Directional MAC protocolfor T-WPAN is proposed.By using redundant single node sector to transmit downlink data,Reducing target node framing based on time computing and Reducing node framing based on historical information,HED-MAC can reduce control cost greatly and distribute Regular S-CAP time more reasonable.
