With the development of lifestyle and science and technology,scientists predict that data transmission rate of short-range wireless communications for some emerging applications will reach 10 Gbps or more by 2020.And the existing wireless communication system is basically impossible to achieve it.With the deep study of the terahertz band,the relevant scholars believe that the terahertz wireless communication system with great bandwidth has the potential to provide such high data transmission rate.The terahertz wireless personal area network is a self-organizing network with data rates capable of reaching tens of Gbps and using terahertz waves as carriers.Due to the restriction of related physical layer technology,the research about terahertz wireless personal area network access protocol is few,and the current research is mainly based on IEEE 802.15.3c.Based on the related access protocols such as IEEE 802.15.3c,HCU-MAC and HTLL-MAC,etc,and the characteristics of terahertz wireless personal area network,the existing CSMA/CA plus TDMA hybrid access protocol is studied deeply,and two kinds of new access protocols,HTU-AP(high timeslot utilization access protocol)and PCHEH-AP(piconet coordinator high efficient handover access protocol)are proposed.1.Aimed at the problems currently existing in access protocol,such as imperfect timeslot allocation mechanism,defective standard aggregation frame mechanism and unimproved timeslot application mechanism,HTU-AP is proposed.Through the orderly fair timeslot allocation mechanism,the frame aggregation content on-demand retransmission mechanism and the non-confirmed timeslot use mechanism,HTU-AP can make the timeslot resources use more efficient and the network throughput improved greatly.2.Aimed at the problems currently existing in access protocol in PNC handover process,such as redundant information transmission,imperfect PNC handover process,a waste of obvious timeslot resources,PCHEH-AP is proposed.Through deleting the specified node redundancy information mechanism,confirming first and handover next mechanism,PNC handover adaptive slot allocation mechanism,PCHEH-AP can make PNC handover process more reasonable and efficient.At the end of the article,the paper summarizes the full text and provides a brief overview of the further research of the terahertz wireless personal area network access protocol.
