Discourse Analysis Of Letters Alive

In recent years,the popularity of cultural variety shows has continued to rise,and a number of high-quality,in-depth TV programs have appeared,such as CCTV's National Treasures,Readers and Hei Longjiang TV's Letters Alive.These programs stand out from the mass entertainment variety shows and are highly recognized by the audience and the professional.Letters Alive uses the letter as the theme of the program,adhering to the concept of opening the history on the letters,deducing the life by writing,which holds on the highland of cultural taste in the impetuous audio-visual era.This paper focused on the qualitative discourse analysis,supplemented by certain quantitative analysis,exploring the origins,macro-discourse,micro-discourse,discourse style and narrative skills of Letters Alive.First of all,using the relevant theories and methods of Foucault's knowledge archaeology to comb the culture of the letters,which recalled the origin background and related cultural foundations of Letters Alive.On this basis,the culture of the letters was divided into the text mode,the transition mode and the audio-visual mode.It was proposed that the program of Letters Alive is actually the deconstruction and reshaping of the culture.of letters.Secondly,cutting into the content of the program,using the discourse analysis method proposed by American scholar Gee,and combine Van Dijk and Fairclough's related discourse analysis theory to decompose the content of the Letters Alive into macro-discourse and micro-discourse.At the macro-discourse level,the rules of the theme classification of the program was explored,and the typical narrative structure map of the program was drawn.At the micro-discourse level,the textual rhetorical features and the use of vocabulary was taken as the starting point,analyzing how the content was seriously produced.Thirdly,went deep into the form of the program,analyzing the discourse styles of the TV presenters,reading guests,interpreting guests and audiences,exploring the discourse style and the discourse characteristics of all parties.Finally,analyzing the narrative skills of the program to explore how the cultural variety showing to innovate in form from the scene setting and scene advancement.Based on the above analysis,the successful experiences of Letters Alive are summarized.First,conscientiously selecting the subject of the letter.Second,checking the text of the letter.Third,paying attention to narrative skills.Fourth,focusing on the culture of writing letters.Finally,the paper discussed the characteristics,shortcomings and the differentiation strategy of Letters Alive.Putting forward practical countermeasures to found a new path for the figurative and audio-visual communication of Chinese traditional culture.
