The original text for the translation report is selected from the fifth and sixth chapters of the book Photovoice Handbook for Social Workers: Method,Practicalities and Possibilities for Social Change by Michele Jarldorn,a professor at the College of Education,Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University in South Australia.This book was published in 2018,which primarily describes Photovoice as a new approach to participatory action research that motivates individuals and communities by organizing photos of participants and discussing them.This method can also be used to assess community needs and conduct interventions that target empowerment in social work interventions and research.Photovoice can be used not only in social work research,especially in the study of the needs and living conditions of the community and the vulnerable groups.It can be used like other qualitative research methods to obtain real research materials and is easy to be the subject accepts,without being restricted by the cultural level of the respondent,can open the conversation quickly,and draw a vivid story from the photo.On the basis of translation practice,the translator elaborates and analyzes the translation process and translation difficulties,and then writes a translation report.The translation report uses translation methods such as addition,omission,separation,combination and conversion.The difficult points of the report mainly focus on the translation of professional terms and long sentences.The translator uses Eugene Nida's Functional Equivalence to provide readers with the same reading effect between the source and target texts.
