Arandomized Controlled Clinical Study Of Jiangqi Huoxue Prescription In The Treatment Of Acute Exacerbation Of COPD (Syndrome Of Turbid Phlegm Obstructing Lung)

Objectives:This study observed the clinical effect of Jiangqi huoxue Prescription combined with western medicine in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)(syndrome of turbid phlegm obstructing lung),and its effects on procalcitonin(PCT),inflammatory mediators(CRP,IL-6,IL-10,TNF-α),blood viscosity,chest plain CT,and further clarified the mechanism of action.Methods:In this study,60 patients with Acute Exacerbation of COPD(syndrome of turbid phlegm obstructing lung)were randomly divided into two groups: the control group and the treatment group.The control group received routine western medicine treatment,and the treatment group combined with Jiangqi huoxue Prescriptionon the basis of routine western medicine treatment.The treatment course of both groups was 14 days.The changes of Terminal-to-Computer Multiplexer symptom scores before and after treatment in the two groups were observed,and the differences of inflammatory mediators,blood viscosity and other related indexes before and after treatment were analyzed.Results:1.on the 5th and 7th days of treatment,The grade of disease in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P < 0.05).and the significant efficiency of the treatment group(73.33%)was higher than that of the control group(56.67%)(P<0.05).From the fifth day of treatment,the total score of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).For the main symptoms,the scores of cough,sputum and wheezing in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group from the seventh day(P < 0.05),and the scores of phlegm in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group from the fifth day(P < 0.05).2.the level of TNF-α after treatment in the two groups decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),while the level of TNF-α after treatment in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group at the same time(p < 0.05).The level of IL-6 in treatment group and control group decreased after treatment compared with that before treatment in the same group(P < 0.05).and there was no statistical difference between the two groups after treatment(p > 0.05).The level of IL-10 in the treatment group and the control group after treatment was higher than that in the same group before treatment(P<0.05),and the level of serum IL-10 in the treatment group after treatment was significantly higher than that in the control group after treatment(P<0.05).3.the blood viscosity level of the treatment group after treatment was lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),and the blood viscosity level of the treatment group after treatment was lower than that of the control group at the same time(P<0.05).4.The level of PCT in the treatment group and the control group decreased after treatment(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P > 0.05).5.The CRP level in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group at the same time after treatment(P < 0.05).6.The efficiency of chest CT in the treatment group(80%)was similar to that in the control group(73.3%)without statistical significance(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1.The clinical efficacy of Jiangqi huoxue Prescription combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of Acute Exacerbation of COPD(syndrome of turbid phlegm obstructing lung)is significantly higher(73.33%)than that of conventional western medicine alone(56.67%).The main symptoms of cough,phlegm quality,phlegm quantity,wheezing syndrome score and disease degree classification are better than those of conventional western medicine alone.2.The Jiangqi huoxue Prescription combined with western medicine in the treatment of Acute Exacerbation of COPD(syndrome of turbid phlegm obstructing lung)is superior to the conventional treatment of western medicine in reducing TNF-α,CRP,blood viscosity level and increasing IL-10 level,which may be the mechanism of the Jiangqi huoxue Prescription in improving the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in Acute Exacerbation of COPD(syndrome of turbid phlegm obstructing lung).
