| Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical effect of acupuncture "Shenque eight array" in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea(IBS-D)of spleen asthenia and damp abundance in order to provide a new way for the clinical treatment of IBS-D.Methods:Using randomized controlled research methods in this study,70 patients with IBS-D of spleen asthenia and damp abundance according to the standard of inclusion and exclusion were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,35 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with acupuncture of "Shenque eight array",once a day,5 times a week,2 days off,20 times in total;the control group was given pinaverium bromide three times a day,50 mg each time;both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The IBS symptom severity scale(IBS-SSS),Traditional Chinese medical syndrome efficacy evaluation,IBS quality of life(IBS-QOL),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)and Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)scores were conducted before treatment,at the end of 4 weeks treatment and 4 weeks after treatment.Results:1.The results of baseline analysis showed that there were no statistical differences in the number of completed and incomplete treatment cases between two groups(P>0.05);there were no statistical differences in the general situation of the subjects and the baseline comparison of each evaluation index between two groups(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.IBS-SSS score showed that comparing within group after treatment,the scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment,with significantly statisticaldifferences(P<0.01);comparing between two groups after treatment and during follow-up,the scores of each dimension in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,but there was no statistical difference in the degree of abdominal distension(P>0.05);there were significant statistical differences in the other dimensions(P<0.01);comparing within group during follow-up,the scores of abdominal pain,defecation satisfaction in the control group and life disturbance in the treatment group were lower than those after treatment;the scores of other dimensions were higher than those after treatment;there were no statistical differences in each dimension in the treatment group(P>0.05);there were statistical differences in the days of abdominal pain and total score in the control group(P<0.05).3.The efficacy score of traditional Chinese medical syndromes showed that comparing within group after treatment,the scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment,with significantly statistical differences(P<0.01);comparing between two groups after treatment,the scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group,but there were no statistical differences(P>0.05);comparing within group during follow-up,the scores of two groups were higher than those after treatment and there were statistical differences in the treatment groups(P<0.05)and the control groups had significant statistical differences(P<0.01);comparing between two groups during follow-up,the scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group,with statistical differences(P<0.05);comparing the scores of the curative effect indexes of two groups after treatment,the total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 87.88% and 78.12%,respectively,with no statistical differences(P>0.05).4.IBS-QOL score showed that comparing within group after treatment,the scores of two groups were higher than those before treatment;there were statistical differences in Q7 sexual behavior(P<0.05)and there were significantly statistical differences in other dimensions(P<0.01);comparing between two groups after treatment,the scores of each dimension in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group;there were statistical differences in the four dimensions of Q1,Q4,Q6 and total score(P<0.05);comparing within group during follow-up,the scoresof two groups were lower than those after treatment;the treatment group had statistical differences in the five dimensions of Q1,Q3,Q4,Q8 and total score(P<0.05)and the control group had statistical differences in the seven dimensions of Q1,Q2,Q5,Q6,Q7,Q8 and total score(P<0.05);comparing between two groups during follow-up,the scores of each dimension in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group;there were statistical differences in the five dimensions of Q1,Q2,Q5,Q6 and total score(P<0.05).5.HAMA and HAMD scores showed that comparing within group after treatment,the HAMA and HAMD scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment,with significantly statistical differences(P<0.01);comparing between two groups after treatment and during follow-up,the HAMA scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group,and there were statistical differences(P<0.05);the HAMD scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group,and there were no statistical differences(P>0.05);comparing within group during follow-up,the HAMA and HAMD scores of two groups were higher than those after treatment;the treatment group had no statistical differences in HAMA(P>0.05)and had statistical differences in HAMD(P<0.05);the control group had statistical differences in HAMA and HAMD(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Acupuncture "Shenque eight array" and pinaverium bromide can effectively improve patients’ clinical symptoms,enhance patients’ quality of life and improve anxiety and depression.2.In the short-term curative effect,acupuncture "Shenque eight array" is superior to pinaverium bromide in improving the severity of IBS symptoms,enhancing quality of life and improving anxiety,but it is equally effective in improving the efficacy score of traditional Chinese medical syndrome and depression.3.In the sustained curative effect,acupuncture "Shenque eight array" is superior to pinaverium bromide in improving the severity of IBS symptoms,improving the efficacy score of traditional Chinese medical syndromes,enhancing quality of life andimproving anxiety,but it is equally effective in improving depression. |
