The Metabonomics Contrast Research On The Treatment Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS) Of Spleen Deficiency Type By Umbilical Moxibustion

Objective: The study is about the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)ofspleen deficiency type by umbilical moxibustion and per os pinaverium bromide. Bydetecting the two group patient’s urine and blood samples metabolite spectral before andafter treatment, identify potential biomarkers, infer the related metabolic pathway andcompare the contrasts between them. In order to expound the mechanism of the treatmentof irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)of spleen deficiency type by umbilical moxibustion andprovide scientific basis for umbilical moxibustion clinical promotion.Methods:24patients with irritable bowel syndrome of spleen deficiency wererandomly divided into two groups,12in the group of medicine-separated umbilicalmoxibustion; the other12in the group of per os pinaverium bromide. We processed theblood and urine sample before and after trestment and analysised metabolomics pathway,in order to compare the contrasts between the two groups.Results: The metabolite spectra of umbilical moxibustion group and pinaveriumbromide group have changed significantly.1.Both groups can affect the metabolism ofcatecholamines and inhibit calcium icon influx directly or indirectly.2.Compared withpinaverium bromide group, medicine-separated umbilical moxibustion can also adjust thebile acids, endocannabinoids, and many kinds of amino acid metabolism to change irritablebowel symptoms.3.Pinaverium bromide as a gastrointestinal highly selective calciumantagonist, affects enzymes and fatty acid metabolism, but the effects of them areuncertain.Conclusion: Umbilical moxibustion and pinaverium bromide drugs can treat irritablebowel syndrome of spleen deficiency. Both of them can play roles by inhibiting intestinalhypersensitivity and relieving intestinal spasm. In addition, umbilical moxibustion canimprove the equilibrium state of the enteric nervous, immune, endocrine network through more channels to treat irritable bowel syndrome of spleen deficiency.
