Objective: to observe the clinical effect of rope-band therapy on walking function and daily living ability of stroke patients with hemiplegia. Methods: 60 stroke patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group and control group by random number table method,30 patients in each group. The control group received conventional rehabilitation programs, including joint range of motion training, muscle strength training, balance training, weight training, weight transfer and gait training.Observation group in the routine rehabilitation treatment in the standing weight, balance, walking and walking training process with rope belt to bind trunk, hip, knee, ankle of hemiplegic patients,to maintain the overall symmetry and anti-gravity extension.Tinetti scale,10-meter Walk Time Test(10MWT),6-minute Walk Distance Test(6-minute Walk Distance Test,6MWT),fugl-meyer Assessment(FMA),Berg balance scale(BBS)and Barthel index BI)were used before and after treatment to evaluate the lower limb motor function of patients with hemiplegia. Results: before treatment, there were no significant differences in tinetti scale score,10 m walking time test,6 minutes walking distance test, lower limb motor function assessment,Berg balance scale score and Barthelindex score between the two groups(P >0.05).After 6 weeks of treatment, both groups were evaluated with 10 MWT,Berg balance scale and Barthel index improved compared with before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement degree of observation group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Tinetti,6MWT and fugl-meyer scales were used to evaluate and compare the improvement before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement degree of observation group is more significant than that of control group(P<0.01).Conclusion: rope-band therapy combined with rehabilitation training can effectively improve the gait, balance and ability of daily life of hemiplegic patients.
