Objective:China has the highest incidence of stroke in the world. The number of disability caused by stroke is also on the rise.Foot drop and strephenopodia deformity are the most common consequences of stroke disability, and it seriously affected the walking ability and activities of daily living of patients.Kinesio taping is a new treatment method which is often used in sports injury in recent years, and its effect on sport injury can be observed. In this study, the patients that have stroke for the first time with foot drop and strephenopodia were treated with Kinesio taping treatment to observe the effect of this treatment on the walking ability of patients, and to explore the action mechanism of this treatment on hemiplegic patients. It is hoped that this study can provide reference for the application of Kinesio taping in the treatment of hemiplegic foot drop and strephenopodia.Methods:64 patients with hemiplegia due to stroke who were admitted to the department of rehabilitation medicine of 3 "A"s hospital from October 2017 to December 2018 were selected. The selected patients were divided into treatment group(n=32)and control group(n=32)by random number method,in which the treatment group was treated with Kinesio taping combined with conventional rehebilitation, while the control group was only treated with conventional rehebilitation. The 10-meter maximum walking speed, timed up and go test and static total foot pressure of the affected side were compared between the two groups before treatment,1 week after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment.SPSS20.0 software was used for data sorting, screening and statistical analysis. The measurement data was recorded in the form of,and the counting data was recorded in the form of N(%).The indicators between the groups were compared by independent sample T test. The chi-square test was used to compare the rates between groups.Bonferroni test was used for multiple comparison of each test index at different time points in each group. The 0.05 test level was used. The difference was statistically significant if P<0.05.Results:1.A total of 64 patients were collected in this experiment, among which 2 patients in the treatment group were exfoliated. One patient was exfoliated due to allergy to the Kinesio tape during the treatment, and one patient was exfoliated due to self-caused discharge midway during the treatment. There were no statistically significant differences between the treatment group and the control group in the 10-meter maximum walking speed, the timed up and go test, and the static total foot pressure of the affected side before treatment.2.After 1 week of treatment and 4 weeks of treatment, the 10 mMWS of the two groups were statistically different from that before treatment(p<0.05),the 10 mMWS was significantly increased compared with that before treatment, the 10 mMWS after 4 weeks of treatment was statistically different from that after 1 week of treatment(p<0.05),and the 10 mMWS after 4 weeks of treatment was significantly increased compared with that after 1 week of treatment. As for the inter-group comparison, the walking speed of 10m in the treatment group increased more than that in the control group after 1 week and 4 weeks of treatment, with statistical difference(p<0.05).3.TUGT of the two groups of patients after 1 week of treatment and 4 weeks of treatment is significantly shorter than that before treatment.TUGT of the patients after 4 weeks of treatment is statistically different from that after 1 week of treatment(p<0.05).TUGT after 4 weeks of treatment is significantly shorter than that after 1 week of treatment.Compared with the control group, the TUGT in the treatment group was shorter after 1 week of treatment and 4 weeks of treatment, with statistical difference(p<0.05).4.After 1 week of treatment and 4 weeks of treatment, the plantar total pressure value of the static affected side was significantly increased compared with that before treatment. After 4 weeks of treatment, the plantar total pressure of the static affected side was statistically different from that after 1 week of treatment(P<0.05).The plantar total pressure value of the affected side after 4 weeks of treatment was significantly increased compared with that after 1 week of treatment.Compared with the control group, the static plantar total pressure value of the affected side in the treatment group increased more after 1 week and 4 weeks of treatment with statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Kinesio taping can improve the walking ability of patients with foot drop and strephenopodia after stroke, which is recommended for clinical application.
