Objectives:To find the problems existing in the process of resident standardized training in Zhejiang province and the final examination process,and provide suggestions for improvement,so as to promote resident standardized training in Zhejiang province.Methods:The current status of related research on resident physicians training program at home and abroad as well as the implementation of standardized training and examination of resident physicians were investigated by literature review.The management personnel,examiners and examinees of the standardized training of resident physicians were interviewed to fully understand the assessment situation.Data of final exam results of resident physicians training programs in Zhejiang province from 2013 to 2015 were analyzed.The distribution of continuous variables were described using mean±standard deviation(sd)and categorical variables were described with frequency(percentage).One-way analysis of variance(One-way ANOVA)was used to assess the difference among means of each group.Comparisons of categorical variables were carried out with Chi-square test.Comparison of the mean of multiple groups were performed using the Student newman-keuls(SNK)test.R software(v3.2.2)was used for statistical analysis in all statistical analysis processes.Main Results:(1)It was found that the passing rate of general subjects and clinical skills examination showed significantly ascending trends from 2013-2015.The passing rate of auxiliary examination was lower than other exams,and the passing rate of medical record writing was highest among all exams,which was over 99%.(2)It was found that male candidates got slightly higher scores than female candidates only in general subjects,while they performed equal to or even worse than female candidates in other final exams of standardized training.(3)the scores of general subjects and professional theories of medical laboratory examinees got relative lower scores in general subjects(64.83±5.45)and professional theory(67.27±7.51)exams when compared with those of other majors,such as internal medicine,surgery,neurology and ophthalmology,Neurological examinees scored the highest in terms of professional theory(75.61 ± 10.37),which was significantly higher than those of other major except for pediatrics,ophthalmology and medical imaging;Besides,assistant general practitioners gave poor performance in clinical skill exams.(4)We found that the candidates from Wenzhou Medical University performed best in general subjects and professional theory,while the candidates from Yiwu City scored(64.79±5.63)the lowest in general subjects,and the candidates from Hangzhou City scored(69.73±6.96)worse in professional theory than those from other regions.Poorer than all other cities except for Wenzhou,Jiaxing and Yiwu city.(5)The scores of the examinees from the third-grade class-A training base were higher than those from other levels of training base.There was no statistical difference between the results of general subjects of examinees from the third-grade class-A training base and those from the third-grand class-B training base.(6)It was found that candidates with higher degrees performed better than candidates with bachelor's degrees or graduated from junior college.Conclusion:The results of standardized resident training in Zhejiang Province are in good condition,and results of different exams differs:(1)The score of general subjects exam is relative low;the average score and passing rate of auxiliary examination are the lowest,while the average score and passing rate of medical record writing exam are the highest,which reaches 100%.(2)The results of standardized resident training differs among candidates from different training bases,different regions,different majors,different educational backgrounds and different gender,and there is still a certain gap from the requirements of homogenization of training results.Therefore,the standardized training of residents should be problem-oriented,aiming atimproving the post competence of residents,further improving the training system,strengthening the construction and evaluation of the base,strengthening the construction of the teaching staff,innovating the training mode,exploring the individualized training scheme,optimizing the evaluation system and improving the training quality.The results of residency training are homogenized.
