Objective:Since the National Health and Family Planning Commission issued a series of policies on standardized training of resident doctors on December 31,2013,the standardized training of resident physicians has become a key work item in various medical colleges and medical institutions. In order to meet the current goal of "post competence oriented",the formative evaluation system should be applied to improve the overall ability of resident trainees in the course of training.Based on the investigation and analysis of the effect of formative evaluation in pediatric residential training, this paper aims at perfecting and constructing a unified evaluation system of paediatrics residence training in China, and puts forward some guiding suggestions.Method:The research used a questionnaire survey.this thesis focuses on trainees(2014-2016)who graduated from Children’s hospital of Chongqing medical university.the design of questionnaires is based on formative assessment, and this questionnaires was used to investigate residents. As well as the 2016 year-end assessment of clinical skills assessment,DOPS and traditional evaluation methods were used for a comparative study, and in-depth interviews with relevant experts.Data was collected and analyzed by EXCEL form and SAS9.4 software.Results:1.In DOPS evaluation method, the two dimensions of non-clinical classes, undergraduate students average score higher than the graduate students(t > 0)and the clinical type of the three dimensions of the opposite(t<0),the average dimension of undergraduate students and graduate students had no statistical difference(P>0.05);In the traditional scoring method, the average score of graduate students(83.29±5.21)was higher than that of undergraduates(81.93±5.63).The clinical correlation coefficient(r=0.22,P=0.03)in traditional scoring method and DOPS score method. The satisfaction of both students and teachers was above 6.2.In the questionnaire, there was no difference in the improvement between different education background in quality, ability and knowledge(P>0.05).The students’ satisfaction is higher and the training tends to homogenize, evaluation of non-clinical items still needs to be improved. Conclusion:Formative evaluation can comprehensively evaluate the clinical ability and comprehensive quality of pediatric resident doctors, improve students’ satisfaction and learning autonomy, and evaluate students with different academic qualifications in a more homogeneous way, which is worthy of comprehensive promotion. At the same time, information tools are used to replace the paper evaluation data to improve the efficiency of evaluation.
