Clinical Observation Of Xiaoyao San On The Treatment Of Liver Qi Stagnation And Chloasma

Purpose:Chloasma is one of the clinical common damaging-beauty dermatology diseases.Chloasma has few symptoms but refractory lingering for patients with an enormous physical and psychological distress.This study is to observe the efficacy of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for the treatment of the stagnation of liver Qi of chloasma,analysis of the effect combined internal-external therapy of TCM and Western in an objective point of view.To provide reference for the treatment of chloasma.Materials and Methods:The whole 56 chloasma patients of this study selected from March 2015 to September 2016 visiting in the dermatology clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese medicine.Using randomization method,I’ve divided these into treatment group(Xiao yao Powder 100 ml twice daily oral,surround needing and vitamin C 100 mg and vitamin E 100 mg 3 times daily oral)and control group(vitamin C and vitamin E oral and surround needing),28 cases in each group.Two group of patients were treated with 4 weeks as a course,two course were observed.After each course of treatment,we observe and record the patients’ symptoms.Results:1.At the end of the first course of treatment,the total efficiency of the treatment group was35.71 %,while the control group was39.29 %,the two group of patients’ MASI scores were no statistical significance(P=0.783>0.05).The results showed that two groups have almost the seam reffect.2..At the end of the second course of treatment,the total efficiency of the treatment group was88.89%,while the control group was 57.69%,the two group of patients’ MASI scores have statistical significance(P=0.01<0.05).The results showed that the treatment group has better curative effect than the control group.3.The follow-up is two mouths later,the scores of two groups have increased,but overall the scores,the treatment group was lower than the control group.The treatment group’s recurrence rate was27.27 %,while the control group was64.29 %,which is indicated that the recurrence rate of the control group is higher than that of the control group.Conclusion:1.Xiao yao Powder can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with the stagnation of liver Qi of chloasma.2.Xiao yao Powder surround needing method and vitamin C and vitamin E can effective reduce the chloasma area and make the chloasma becomes shallower with the stagnation of liver Qi of chloasma.3.For the treatment of the stagnation of liver Qi of chloasma,Xiao yao Powder and surround needing method and vitamin C and vitamin E is superior to that with surround needing method vitamin C and vitamin E treatment.It is worth to clinical application.
