In July 2017,HPV vaccine-Cervarix(?)was officially launched in mainland China. Then in November 2017,HPV vaccine-Gardasil(?)went on the market as well.Public awareness and acceptance play a crucial role in the promotion of vaccines. However,as for HPV and HPV vaccines, the cognitive ability of our audience is still at a low level. In view of the above-mentioned facts, the author interviewed 26 age-appropriate HPV vaccination recipients in Nanjing to investigate Chinese audience's cognition, attitude and behavioral tendency towards HPV and HPV vaccines. The survey showed that audiences have a high willingness to inoculate HPV vaccine, but their actual execution is low. There are several major obstacles, like audiences'misunderstanding about HPV risk, lack of knowledge about HPV and HPV vaccines, and lack of health information literacy in media exposure. It is extremely limited on human communication, including consulting with others, spreading or even recommending HPV vaccine to others. This is also related to the close integration of HPV with "sexual" privacy and stereotypes in Chinese social and cultural concepts. It also investigated male's attitude towards HPV vaccine. Finally,it proposed some proposals on the public welfare promotion of HPV vaccine. This investigation hopes to be in favor of guiding public health education information design and improving public's acceptance of the HPV vaccine.
