| Purpose:By observing the changes of serum TSLP,IL-13,IL-33,and IgE in children with cough variant asthma(CVA)before and after treatment, the paper tried to explore the correlation between CVA pathogenesis and Th1/Th2 immune imbalance, understand the mechanism of TCM staging treatment of CVA in order to seek more therapeutic efficacy of Chinese medicine for the treatment of childhood CVA.Methods:40 children with CVA admitted into Outpatient department of Pediatrics, the people’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 1,2016 to December 1,2017 were selected as the cases. The children with CVA were randomly divided into two groups:TCM treatment group(Group A)and TCM-WM control group(Group B).Twenty patients were selected as the healthy control group(Group C).The analysis of variance(ANOVA)and chi-square test indicated that there was no significant difference in gender and age distribution between the three groups(P>0.05),and they were comparable. The treatment group was treated with the Chinese medicine staging treatment, and the control group was inhaled with galislide dry powder on the basis of the treatment group. The changes of serum TSLP,IL-13,IL-33,and IgE concentrations before and after treatment in Group A and B,the differences in cough scores, visual analog scores, and main syndrome scores of the two groups were observed. Results:Before the treatment, serum levels of TSLP,IL-13,IL-33,and IgE were significantly higher in Group A and B than in Group C(all P<0.01),but there was no significant difference between Group A and B(P>0.05);There was no significant difference in visual analog scale, cough scores, and scores of major syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine between Group A and B(all P>0.05).After the treatment, serum levels of TSLP,IL-13,IL-33,and IgE were significantly lower in Group A and B than before the treatment(all P<0.01),but there was no significant difference between Group A and B(P>0.05);Visual analog scale, cough scores, and TCM major syndrome scores in Group A and B were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).There was no significant difference between Groups A and B(P>0.05).Efficacy evaluation:In Group A,4 cases were clinically controlled,10 cases shoed an effect;3 cases were effective, and 3 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 85%;In Group B,5 cases were clinically controlled,11 cases showed an effect;2 cases were effective, and 2 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 90%.The total effective rate was higher in Group B than in Group A,but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:① The abnormal increase of serum TSLP,IL-13,IL-33 and IgE concentrations in children with CVA suggests that TSLP,IL-13,IL-33,and IgE are involved in the pathogenesis of CVA.② After the TCM staging treatment, the serum levels of TSLP,IL-13,IL-33 and IgE were significantly decreased in children with CVA,suggesting that it may have corrected Thl/Th2 immune imbalance.③ Through cough scores, visual analog scale, and TCM major syndrome scores,it can be found that the combination of Chinese and Western medicine treatment and the TCM staging treatment can improve the discomfort of children with CVA and improve their quality of life. Therefore, through the study of this topic,it provides a basis for the efficacy of Chinese medicine in the treatment of childhood CVA,and also provides reference suggestions for the clinical treatment of children’s CVA. |
