Objectives To understand the distribution of sedentary behavior and neck-shoulder symptoms(NSS)in middle school students,and to analyze the association between sedentary behavior and neck-shoulder symptoms is to provide theoretical basis for the promotion of adolescent neck-shoulder health.Methods This study was a cross-sectional survey.Middle school students conduct a questionnaire survey in December 2015 — March 2016 in four areas that Shenyang,Zhengzhou,Jiangxi(Nanchang,Yujiang,Dexing)and Shenzhen.The questionnaire includes general demographic characteristics,personal habits of Middle school students,health status of parents spine,personal spine health and trauma history,watching TV,using computers,playing mobile phones,writing homework,meditation classes on medications,eyes to TV,Computer,mobile phone or tablet screen and the book's sitting distance.Using the ?~2 test to compare the general demographic characteristics,personal habits,parents and personal spine health,watching TV,using computers,playing mobile phones,writing homework,remedial classes on the sedentary time and eyes to the TV,computer,cell phone or tablet screen and The sitting distance of the book,the distribution of NSS and NSP in different groups.Using the multivariate logistic regression models were to analyze the effects of different sedentary behavior on NSS and NSP.Results?~2 test showed that gender,grade,family economic conditions of different middle school students' NSS of the difference was statistically significant(?~2=86.121,P<0.001;?~2=152.628,P < 0.001;?~2=70.351,P < 0.001).In different living habits,the habit of lying on the table to sleep,used to physical exercise,habitual learning or game to the night after 2 o'clock,habit of playing before going to bed to play,academic pressure of different middle school students NSS were statistically significant(?~2= 301.869,P <0.001;?~2 = 180.643,P<0.001;?~2 = 312.764,P<0.001;?~2 = 154.790,P<0.001;?~2 =444.236,P<0.001).In the past history,there are often stiffening phenomenon,often feel the throat pain or discomfort in high school students NSS of the difference was statistically significant(?~2 = 442.090,P<0.001;?~2 = 932.782,P<0.001).At learning time,high school students to write homework time?4 h,watching TV time?4 h,the use of computer time?4 h,playing mobile phone or plate time?4 h,on the guidance class time?4 h NSS higher than other groups,and The difference was statistically significant(?~2=330.727,P<0.001;?~2=30.885,P< 0.001;?~2=22.284,P<0.001;?~2=96.256,P<0.001;?~2=51.582,P<0.001);At weekend,high school students to write homework time,watching TV time,the use of computer time,playing mobile phone or tablet time,the longer the duration of counseling class the higher the detection rate of NSS,and the difference was statistically significant(?~2=226.799,P < 0.001;?~2=69.009,P < 0.001;?~2=47.072,P<0.001;?~2=203.83,P<0.001;?~2=32.654,P<0.001).The detection rate of NSS at different distances to the books,TV screens,computer screens,cell phones or Pad screen decreased with distance,and the difference was statistically significant(?~2=60.321,P<0.001;?~2=22.861,P<0.001;?~2=18.026,P<0.001;?~2=38.484,P<0.001).Adjust the region,grade,gender,family economic conditions,physical exercise time and self-evaluation academic pressure,the last 3 months since the regular TV over 40 min,the use of computer 40 min or more,playing mobile phone more than 40 min,more than60 min homework sitting more than 90 min,often the average daily sitting time accumulated more than 10 h and other behaviors to increase the risk of NSS,and with the increase in the frequency of NSS increased risk(OR=1.34,95%CI: 1.30~1.38;OR=1.35,95%CI: 1.31~1.39;OR=1.43,95%CI: 1.39~1.48;OR=1.32,95%CI: 1.28~1.36;OR=1.43,95%CI: 1.39~1.48;OR=1.42,95%CI: 1.38~1.46).There were significant differences in the detection rate of NSP between middle school students with different sex,gender,grade and family economic conditions(?~2=33.017,P<0.001;?~2=115.028,P<0.001;?~2=66.414,P<0.001).In different living habits,the habit of lying on the table to sleep,used to physical exercise,habitual learning or game to the night after 2 o'clock,habit of playing before going to bed to play,academic pressure of different middle school students NSP were statistically significant(?~2=199.737,P<0.001;?~2=97.405,P<0.001;?~2=240.151,P<0.001;?~2=132.409,P<0.001;?~2=260.524,P<0.001).At learning time,high school students to write homework time? 4 h,watching TV time?4 h,the use of computer time?4 h,playing mobile phone or plate time?4 h,on the guidance class time?4 h NSP higher than other groups,and The difference was statistically significant(?~2=218.769,P<0.001;?~2=57.309,P<0.001;?~2=40.662,P<0.001;?~2=78.517,P<0.001;?~2=61.600,P<0.001).At weekend,high school students to write homework time,watching TV time,the use of computer time,playing mobile phone or Pad time,the longer the duration of counseling class,the higher the detection rate of NSP,and the difference was statistically significant(?~2=177.843,P<0.001;?~2=33.560,P< 0.001;?~2=18.452,P<0.001;?~2=93.293,P<0.001;?~2=39.878,P<0.001).There was a significant difference in the detection rate of neck and shoulder pain at different distances from eyes to books,TV screens,computer screens,cell phones or Pad screen(?~2=42.799,P < 0.001;?~2=25.777,P < 0.001;?~2=28.059,P<0.001;?~2=33.895,P<0.001).Adjust the region,grade,gender,family economic conditions,physical exercise time and self-evaluation academic pressure,the last 3 months since the regular TV over 40 min,the use of computer 40 min or more,playing mobile phone more than 40 min,more than 60 min homework sitting more than90 min,often the average daily sitting time accumulated more than 10 h and other behaviors to increase the risk of NSP,and with the increase in the frequency of NSP increased risk(OR=1.29,95%CI: 1.23~1.35;OR=1.29,95%CI: 1.24~1.35;OR=1.44,95%CI: 1.38 ~ 1.51;OR=1.33,95%CI: 1.28 ~ 1.39;OR=1.45,95%CI: 1.38 ~ 1.51;OR=1.44,95%CI: 1.38~1.51).Conclusions China's adolescents with NSS is grim,including high grade,girls,poor family economic conditions,parents and their own spine health problems,habit of high pillow hard pillow,habitual tummy sleeping,habitual study or game sleep,habit of playing a long time before going to bed to play mobile phones,physical exercise time is relatively small,academic pressure of high school students neck and shoulder symptoms higher rate,and long,high frequency of meditation behavior is high school students suffering from NSS Risk factors.So we recommended schools and relevant departments to increase publicity and health education,to encourage students to reduce sedentary,and effectively increase the physical activity and reduce academic pressure.
